Cruz is telling it like it is. He’s trying to be transparent with the American people.
And Ted Cruz dropped an update on the Iran war that will shock you.
Senator Ted Cruz delivered a dose of straight talk on Monday, assuring Americans that the ongoing showdown with Iran won’t drag on indefinitely. In remarks that cut through the usual Washington fog, the Texas Republican made it clear that victory is on the horizon.
Cruz stated plainly that things will “wrap up in time.” He followed up with even stronger assurance about the timeline ahead.
While speaking with Bloomberg, Cruz declared that the war “will be over. It will be over in a matter of months.”
This message comes as a welcome relief to truckers, commuters, and families already squeezed at the pump. For too long, elites in both parties have treated high energy prices as some abstract policy debate.
Real Americans know the truth: every extra dollar at the gas station is money ripped from groceries, rent, and kids’ activities.
Cruz walked through the recent price swings with clear numbers that hit home. Under the previous administration, prices skyrocketed to painful levels before strong leadership stepped in and delivered results.
“[I]n terms of gas prices, you go back a couple of years under Joe Biden, and gas prices were about six bucks a gallon. President Trump and the Republicans in Congress came in, and we dropped it in half, to about three bucks a gallon, that was a massive savings,” Cruz stated.
That halving of prices wasn’t some miracle. It was the direct result of putting American energy dominance first, unleashing domestic production, and rejecting the green fantasies that punish regular workers. Families felt the difference immediately in their budgets.
Now, with tensions in the Middle East, prices have climbed again to around four to four-and-a-half dollars per gallon. That’s a setback, but one directly tied to necessary action rather than incompetence or ideology. Cruz explained the temporary nature of this pressure while keeping focus on the endgame.
“So, gas prices have risen to about four, four-and-a-half bucks a gallon. So, about — it’s gone up about halfway from the distance it fell. That being said, this conflict will be over. It will be over in a matter of months. And when it is over, if we can have anything like a stable regime in Iran, that will have a long-term, major downward pressure on gas prices,” the senator said.
A stable Iran without the current radical rulers would flood markets with supply and drive prices down for good. No more hostage diplomacy or threats disrupting global energy flows. American drivers would win big.
But the stakes run far deeper than fuel costs. The Iranian regime has American blood on its hands, and ignoring that fact has never kept anyone safe.
“But, more importantly, look, the Iranian regime is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, they’ve k*lled nearly 1,000 Americans. The president is acting to keep people safe,” Cruz continued.
This is leadership that puts citizens first instead of endless apologies and weak deals. Many conservatives have long warned that coddling terror sponsors invites more attacks on our soil and our interests. Decisive action breaks that deadly cycle.
