The GOP is full speed ahead in helping Donald Trump get reelected this fall. But not every Republican is on board.

And the 2024 election got flipped on it’s head after this RINO’s announcement.

In a stunning political turn, former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney has announced that he will be casting his vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, a move that was confirmed by his daughter, Liz Cheney, during an event at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin.

“Dick Cheney will be voting for Kamala Harris,” the former Wyoming congresswoman said, drawing attention to the divisiveness of the current political climate.

“If you think about the moment we’re in, and you think about how serious this moment is, my dad believes — and he said publicly — there has never been an individual in our country who is as grave a threat to our democracy as Donald Trump is,” Liz Cheney emphasized.

At 83 years old, Cheney has been an outspoken critic of Trump for years. His recent statement further solidifies his opposition to the former president, arguing that Trump “can never be trusted with power again” after his actions following the 2020 election.

“In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump,” Cheney’s statement read, pointing to the former president’s attempts to fight back against the 2020 election results.

“He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He can never be trusted with power again.”

Cheney’s comments reflect a broader sentiment among RINOs (Republican In Name Only) who believe that Trump’s influence is harmful to the party and the country.

He stressed that Americans have a responsibility to prioritize the Constitution over partisan loyalties, concluding, “That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.”

This is not the first time Cheney has publicly criticized Trump. In a 2022 campaign ad for his daughter’s re-election bid, Cheney described Trump as a “coward” and a “threat to our republic.” He reiterated that Trump had lost the 2020 election and refused to accept the results, a betrayal that Cheney sees as disqualifying for any future role in leadership.

The former vice president’s stance on Trump dates back to Trump’s time in office, when Cheney’s daughter, Liz, became one of the most vocal Republican critics of Trump. Liz Cheney was among the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump following the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot and later served on the committee investigating the attack.

In response to Liz Cheney’s comments, the Trump campaign resurfaced a clip of the former president denouncing the Iraq War, a conflict for which Cheney has long been held responsible. Cheney is widely considered one of the chief architects of the Iraq War, having influenced President George W. Bush’s decision to invade Iraq in 2003.

Liz Cheney, who lost her 2022 GOP primary in Wyoming after facing backlash for her criticism of Trump, has also taken a notable stance in the 2024 election.

She endorsed Kamala Harris for president, and further signaled her cross-party support by endorsing Democrat Colin Allred over incumbent Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in the Texas Senate race.

The Cheneys’ positions demonstrate how the legacy of Trump’s presidency continues to reshape the Republican Party, with prominent figures like Dick Cheney proving that they aren’t all that conservative after all.

They claim that they are still Republicans, even though they are electing to support unhinged Democrats like Kamala Harris.

It’s high time for the RINOs of the world – like Dick and Liz Cheney – to officially claim themselves as the radical Leftists that they are.
