The hosts of The View are staunch Leftists. They haven’t been shy at making that known.

But The View just unleashed on a Democrat senator for this one mind-numbing reason.

ABC’s “The View” Hosts Criticize Sen. John Fetterman Over Trump Meeting and Bipartisan Decisions

The hosts of ABC News’ “The View” spent much of Monday criticizing Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) for two notable reasons: his decision to meet with Donald Trump and his willingness to support certain Trump cabinet appointments.

Ana Navarro, who labels herself as a Republican despite frequently aligning with Democratic positions, took the first swing. Navarro, who has publicly supported President Joe Biden and even hosted an evening of the 2024 Democratic National Convention, questioned Fetterman’s judgment in meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

“You did get a lot of criticism for it from some people who thought you going to Mar-a-Lago gave cover to Trump by creating this illusion that he’s amenable to working with Democrats,” Navarro remarked, referencing Fetterman’s visit to Trump’s Florida estate. She then shifted focus to defend bipartisanship—so long as it didn’t involve Trump.

“I was very supportive when people like Mitt Romney and Rob Portman worked with Joe Biden, so I understand the need for bipartisanship,” she claimed before criticizing Fetterman for doing the same with Trump.

“I didn’t love the optics of you going to Mar-a-Lago, he was going to — which is his palace. He was going to be in Washington a week later.”

Sunny Hostin joined the critique, honing in on Fetterman’s comments about the legal case against Trump in Manhattan. Hostin brought up the 34-count indictment, saying, “Just for clarification, did you mean that the 34-count case in which Donald Trump was found guilty of various financial crimes was politically motivated?”

Fetterman defended his position, arguing that the justice system should never be weaponized for political purposes.

“I found that when the judicial system gets weaponized, and targeted political enemies for political gain, I think that’s inappropriate, and I think that degrades our collective trust in this very important institution,” he said.

He further explained, “I think I like to call it strikes and balls, but the judicial system has to remain impartial. I mean, that’s really the cornerstone of our society.”

Whoopi Goldberg deflected from the conversation about political prosecutions, offering a rhetorical response to Fetterman’s comments: “Wouldn’t that be great if that’s the way that things actually worked?”

After a commercial break, Hostin resumed her criticism, pointing out what she perceived as a “rightward shift” in Fetterman’s politics.

She listed several examples, including his meeting with President Trump, his support for border security and fracking—key industries in his home state of Pennsylvania—and his decision to join Truth Social, Trump’s social media platform.

Navarro circled back to Fetterman’s interactions with Trump’s cabinet nominees, chastising him for engaging with them during Senate proceedings. Fetterman has maintained that the Senate’s role is to “advise and consent,” which sometimes involves working across the aisle. Navarro specifically mentioned his support for Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a friend of hers. Ironically, she had publicly backed Rubio just weeks earlier.

The hosts of The View were united in their disapproval, framing Fetterman’s bipartisan actions as a betrayal of Democratic principles—even as they acknowledged the necessity of bipartisanship when the roles were reversed.

This is just further proof of how radical and insane the ladies of The View are.
