Donald Trump needs to watch his back. The threats against him keep piling up.
And Trump’s impeachment is imminent according to this Democrat.
In a jaw-dropping moment on MS NOW’s “The Briefing,” California Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna dropped any pretense and flat-out demanded President Donald Trump’s head on a platter. The congressman made clear that removing Trump isn’t some future dream—it’s an immediate priority for his party, no matter what voters think.
Khanna didn’t hold back, stating that the president “should be impeached now. He’s taken us into a disastrous war, threatening war crimes in Iran, in terms of knocking out plants, and knocking out electricity. And the Democrats will impeach him once we take back the House, and should impeach him for all the things he’s done.”
This outburst exposes the raw truth: the same crowd that spent years screaming about democracy now treats it like an inconvenience.
Trump is delivering the tough leadership everyday Americans demanded at the ballot box, yet Khanna and his allies see only an opportunity to drag the country through another circus of political revenge.
Guest host Ali Velshi then steered the conversation straight into the Democrats’ real obsession—keeping Trump boxed in and powerless. He laid out the mechanics of their strategy, noting how Trump has been clear that Republicans must deliver election security reforms or face another round of impeachment theater.
Velshi explained, “Let me ask you about, Donald Trump has said, we have recordings of him saying that Republicans have to pass the SAVE Act or the SAVE America Act, because, without it, there’s no way they’ll win the midterms, and if they don’t win the midterms, they’ll impeach Donald Trump again.”
“So, part of what Donald Trump needs out of his attorney general is some shield, some protection from impeachment. I’m not quite sure, mechanically, how that actually works. But if Democrats win the House, and possibly the Senate in November, there’s a better than even chance Donald Trump gets impeached again.”
Khanna jumped right in with full agreement, treating impeachment like a done deal once his side claws back power.
The California lawmaker left no doubt that his party views the next election as nothing more than a stepping stone to topple the president voters chose.
“Absolutely. He should be impeached now. He’s taken us into a disastrous war, threatening war crimes in Iran, in terms of knocking out plants, and knocking out electricity. And the Democrats will impeach him once we take back the House, and should impeach him for all the things he’s done,” Khanna said.
“And, depending on the Senate, he may face conviction if we get to 60, especially if the — his numbers keep going down, and the Epstein issue continues to be a vulnerability.”
The exchange lays bare the left’s panic. They know Trump’s push for the SAVE Act threatens their favorite tool—loose rules that invite fraud and tilt the scales.
Without those advantages, their path to impeachment vanishes, so they’re already gaming out ways to shield themselves from accountability while plotting his removal.
What stands out is how openly they admit the game plan. Democrats aren’t campaigning on ideas or results; they’re fixated on using congressional majorities as a weapon against the America First agenda that beat them before.
