The political winds are shifting in the United States. The radical Left can feel it.
And Democrats were left shaking in fear when they saw this report.
The 2024 presidential election is only a little over a year away, and it’s shaping up to be the most historic election ever.
President Biden has refused to officially announce his candidacy for re-election, leading many to believe that he’s leaving an “off-ramp” for himself should he decide to back out.
Meanwhile, the Republican field has been dominated by Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis.
Trump, who has been eyeing the Oval Office ever since being ousted in 2020, is facing an onslaught of legal challenges as he tries to campaign.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a firebrand conservative who has overseen Florida shifting from a “purple” state to a fully red conservative bastion, has yet to announce his candidacy – but that hasn’t stopped conservative commentators from pointing him out as the obvious choice other than Trump.
But another Republican is planning to shake-up the 2024 race, and he says Democrats should be more afraid than ever.
Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) launched a presidential exploratory committee early Wednesday morning, which was met with harsh criticism from Democrats.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison called the Republican senator “a fierce advocate of the MAGA agenda.”
“There’s no question that special interests are celebrating as Tim Scott throws his hat into the 2024 race for the MAGA base,” Harrison said.
Democrats need to learn that labeling a Republican as an defender of the “MAGA agenda” serves only as a badge of honor among conservatives.
All they’re saying is Tim Scott believes we ought to put our own country and people first – how radical!
Scott took the criticism in stride, saying he was “glad” they were afraid of him.
“This is a wonderful concept. I will say this: My life disproves their lies. And that’s why they’re so afraid when conservatives stand up,” he said. “There’s no question that the DNC should be afraid of me.”
Scott also said voters are “starving for hope” and an “optimistic, positive message” while largely sidestepping questions about former President Donald Trump.
“It is such an exciting day for me, and it’s hopefully an exciting day for all of America. What brought me to this moment is my ‘Faith in America’ tour,” Scott said.
“I have found that people are starving for hope. They’re starving for an optimistic, positive message that is anchored in conservative values.”
Scott also noted that he believes Biden would vie for reelection considering the lack of talent on the Left.
“I think he does run if you look at the bench on the Democratic Party,” Scott said.
The Senator is set to head to New Hampshire and South Carolina at the end of the week.
