Donald Trump can’t believe the one word Tim Scott just called him

Former President Donald Trump is playing with fire in the Republican primary race. His opponents don’t know how to respond.

That’s why Donald Trump can’t believe the one word Tim Scott just called him.

This past weekend, Donald Trump had some very nice things to say about his Republican opponent who is also running for President in 2024, Tim Scott.

He said in a Fox News interview that he truly believes that Tim Scott is “good guy” and that he could have role to play in Donald Trump’s second administration.

“I think he’s a very good guy. And we did opportunity zones together. It’s never been talked about. It’s one of the most successful economic development things ever done in this country. And Tim is very good. I mean, I could see Tim doing something with the administration, but he’s in right now campaigning. But Tim is a talented guy, and you have other very talented people,” Trump said in his interview with Maria Bartiromo.

Also in an interview with Fox News, Tim Scott was asked about whether he believes that he could work with Donald Trump if Scott wins the Presidency in 2024.

He quickly responded saying that he believes Donald Trump would be “overqualified” to be his Vice President.

“I think Trump is overqualified to be my vice president,” candidate Tim Scott said to Fox News this week.

He also said that he believes Trump is a “good guy” and noted that the both of them get along but tried to create a little bit of distance between himself and the former President.

“I will simply say the former president is a good guy, and we get along very well. At the end of the day, I am running because I believe America can do for anyone what she has done for me,” Tim Scott added.

Realistically, this isn’t going to be an issue that Tim Scott is likely going to have to face in terms of whether he’d give Trump a spot in his administration either as Vice President or elsewhere.

Tim Scott is regularly polling in the single digits, sometimes in the low single digits.

His average polling, according to the polling website FiveThirtyEight, is around just 3%, putting him way behind the likes of Trump, DeSantis, and even Nikki Haley.

He will likely have the chance to appear on the debate stage, however.

The Republicans running for office only need to get at least 1% of the support from voters in the national polls, which Tim Scott has.

They do also need at least 40,000 unique donors behind them with at least 200 from 20 different states to appear on the debate stage.

Should Tim Scott make it there, it will be interesting to see what his dynamic is with Donald Trump and the other heavyweights like Ron DeSantis.

Though it’s unclear if Donald Trump is even going to be on the debate stage for a variety of reasons.

Trump has lamented that attending the Republican debates would require him to support the eventual Republican nominee, even if it’s not himself. That’s something he may not be willing to do.

He also recently implied he doesn’t think it would be smart to put his lead over Ron DeSantis on the line by appearing on the debate stage.
