The former president’s legal woes have hit a major turning point. His worst nightmare is staring him right in the face.
As Donald Trump was issued a guilty verdict in a stunning twist.
Former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial has begun.
He’s been alleged to have created false business records in an effort to hide payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
But even though his case has just begun, a verdict has already been made by this Republican senator.
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), a known Trump critic and also a known RINO, told CNN’s Manu Raju that he believes the former president is guilty.
“I think everybody has made their own assessment of President Trump’s character, and so far as I know you don’t pay someone $130,000 not to have s*x with you,” Romney stated.
Trump is starring down 34 counts of allegedly creating false business records relating to funds paid to Daniels back in 2016 during the presidential election.
These payments were actually reimbursements which were given to Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen, who then allegedly made arrangements for Daniels to be paid off so that stories wouldn’t be published against Trump that would paint him in a negative light ahead of the 2016 election.
As for Sen. Romney, he likely couldn’t have been happier to tell CNN that he thinks the former president is guilty.
His rivalry with Donald Trump has been well documented.
Romney is also who many consider to be a RINO.
He’ll sometimes vote with Republicans on key issues, but other times he’ll side with the Democrats and won’t fight hard enough for the conservative cause.
Earlier this year, Romney was very clear that he would not be voting for Trump in the general election this fall.
“No, no, no, absolutely not,” Romney said when asked by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins if he’d vote for Donald Trump.
“I mean, for me, there are two factors deciding who I want to have as the leader of my country and the person who is the example of the president for my kids, my grandkids.”
“One is their position and policies. And on foreign policy, I’m not aligned with Donald Trump, at least as I understand his policy. And domestic policy? Yeah, I align with many of his domestic policies.”
“Having a president who is so defaulted of character would have an enormous impact on the character of America. And for me, that’s the primary consideration,” Romney added.
Anyone who heard those comments from the senator from Utah could’ve easily seen his guilty verdict coming.
Mitt Romney would be just as happy as a Leftist if Trump ends up being found guilty for his alleged crimes.
It’s a good thing the RINO senator has decided to call it quits and not run for reelection this November.
Hopefully, a strong conservative will come in and win his seat.
