Trump has many enemies who don’t want him to succeed. They’ll do anything to make sure he doesn’t win the presidency again.

And the FBI has uncovered an Iranian plot against Donald Trump in a stunning bombshell report.

In a bold cyberattack, Iranian hackers reportedly stole sensitive information from former President Donald Trump’s campaign earlier this summer and shared it with individuals connected to President Biden’s reelection campaign, according to authorities.

The breach, which occurred between June and July before Biden’s exit from the race, is seen as part of Iran’s broader efforts to influence the outcome of U.S. elections, the FBI disclosed on Wednesday.

The hacking was revealed after similar stolen data from Trump’s campaign was sent to several major American media outlets, according to the FBI.

“Iranian malicious cyber actors in late June and early July sent unsolicited emails to individuals then associated with President Biden’s campaign that contained an excerpt taken from stolen, non-public material from former President Trump’s campaign as text in the emails,” the FBI explained in a joint statement with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

Despite the breach, investigators found that none of the Biden-affiliated individuals who received the emails responded to the hackers.

The Harris campaign clarified that the emails were sent to personal accounts and not directly to the Biden campaign.

“We’re not aware of any material being sent directly to the campaign; a few individuals were targeted on their personal emails with what looked like a spam or phishing attempt,” said Harris-Walz campaign spokesperson Morgan Finkelstein.

The Trump campaign confirmed the breach on August 10, revealing that sensitive internal memos had been accessed by Iranian operatives.

Among the stolen documents was a research portfolio on Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, which was circulated to at least three media outlets — Politico, the New York Times, and the Washington Post — through an AOL account belonging to an individual named “Robert.” These outlets have not disclosed the full scope of the information they received.

The Justice Department is reportedly preparing charges in connection with the cyberattack. Officials emphasized that the breach, along with similar attempts to infiltrate the Biden-Harris campaign, highlights Tehran’s desire to disrupt the 2024 election and erode voter confidence. “This malicious cyber activity is the latest example of Iran’s multipronged approach … to stoke discord and undermine confidence in our electoral process,” said the FBI.

Iran And Their Fear Of A Second Trump Term

The Trump campaign framed the hack as evidence of Iran’s opposition to Trump’s candidacy. “This is further proof the Iranians are actively interfering in the election to help Kamala Harris and Joe Biden because they know President Trump will restore his tough sanctions and stand against their reign of terror,” Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt said.

She added, “Kamala and Biden must come clean on whether they used the hacked material given to them by the Iranians to hurt President Trump. What did they know and when did they know it?”

Harris’ team, however, maintained they have been fully cooperative with the investigation.

Finkelstein reiterated their stance, stating, “We condemn in the strongest terms any effort by foreign actors to interfere in US elections including this unwelcome and unacceptable malicious activity.”

This cyber incident points to a concerning trend of foreign interference, particularly against Donald Trump and his campaign.

As Karoline Leavitt pointed out, it’s almost as if the United State’s adversaries don’t want a strong leader like Trump in the Oval Office because they won’t have it as easy as they did under the Biden/Harris administration.
