Trump has never been one to pull punches. And he’s about to shake things up in a big way.
Because Donald Trump is planning an overwhelming military strike that put America’s enemies on their heels.
President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly exploring a range of aggressive strategies, including military action, to confront and eliminate Iran’s escalating nuclear threat.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Trump’s team is now giving serious consideration to military strikes against key Iranian nuclear facilities.
The urgency couldn’t be clearer: Iran has been brazenly amassing enriched uranium, now possessing enough nuclear material to produce multiple bombs. Adding to the instability is Iran’s relentless sponsorship of terrorism, Israel’s ongoing dismantling of Hamas and Hezbollah, the swift collapse of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, and Tehran’s repeated, shocking attempts to assassinate Trump.
Trump has allegedly assured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he intends to address the problem but is determined to avoid sparking an all-out war.
Sources reveal Trump’s incoming national security team is crafting a “maximum pressure 2.0” campaign—doubling down on crippling sanctions while introducing the option of military force.
Part of the strategy could include bolstering Israel’s military might by increasing the U.S. troop presence in the region and providing advanced weapons systems.
Such support, including “bunker-busting bombs,” would allow Israel to strike deep into Iran’s heavily fortified nuclear sites.
The Journal report states:
“Trump aides and confidants supporting military options for his second term said the main idea would be to support Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities like Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan, and even potentially have the U.S. participate in a joint operation.
Many current and former Israeli officials say there are huge uncertainties of how successful Israel would be in mounting a solo attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, some of which are buried deep underground.”
Mark Dubowitz, CEO of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, emphasized the urgency of the situation, declaring that now is the time to act against Iran’s nuclear program.
“If there was ever a time to neutralize the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear weapons program, now would be the time,” he warned.
Trump, in a recent TIME interview, underscored the volatility of the situation, saying “anything can happen” regarding the possibility of war with Iran.
“Anything can happen,” Trump repeated. “It’s a very volatile situation.”
Gabriel Noronha, a former State Department official who worked on Iran policy during Trump’s first term, told the Journal there is “strong support” in Israel for taking decisive military action, especially after the October 7 terrorist attack.
“Iran does not have much room to go before they hit [Israel’s] red lines, and they still seem intent on escalating further,” Noronha said.
