The Pentagon is sounding the alarm. They can’t believe this has happened.

And the U.S. Military has been infiltrated by a terrorist in a terrifying turn of events.

Unveiled Terror Plot: Hamas Operative and Accomplices Charged in Pittsburgh

A chilling conspiracy unraveled this week as federal authorities charged a self-proclaimed Hamas operative, Mohamad Hamad, alongside two Pittsburgh women, Talya Lubit and Micaiah Collins, in a foiled terror scheme involving pipe bombs and anti-Semitic vandalism.

Hamad, a 23-year-old with dual U.S.-Lebanese citizenship, faces a nine-count superseding indictment that exposes his alleged deception to infiltrate the U.S. Air Force and his brazen pursuit of violence.

“Mohamad Hamad lied about his loyalty to the United States, among other false statements, in an attempt to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti. “During that time, he openly expressed support for Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Hamas. In addition to his previously charged role in defacing Jewish religious property, he also conspired with others named in this Superseding Indictment to manufacture and detonate destructive devices.”

Hamad’s descent into extremism began shortly after enlisting in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard in June 2023. From his home in Coraopolis, Pa., he privately messaged an associate, declaring, “[i]t’s still Palestine on top though make no mistake.”

During Air Force training, he shared graphic footage of Hamas’ attacks on Israel, writing, “Us Muslims never surrender or back down,” according to the indictment.

In a bid for a top-secret security clearance, Hamad completed paperwork in December 2023 and underwent interviews with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency. Prosecutors allege he fabricated his allegiance to the U.S. to advance his sinister motives.

His audacity peaked in a June 2024 message to Collins, where he boasted, “Been a terrorist since I was a kid in Lebanon, real s–t,” alongside a childhood photo of himself wielding a gun.

Hamad’s actions escalated as he and Collins allegedly collaborated to create a “destructive device.” After detonating a prototype, Hamad gleefully messaged, “That s–t was a blast.”

He later constructed two pipe bombs and additional explosives, detonating them while reveling in his self-proclaimed identity as a “Hamas operative.” In private messages, he fantasized about the fear he could instill in “white suburbia” while tearing down Israeli flags in a mask.

His admiration for Hamas extended to social media, where he praised its leaders on Instagram, writing, “Without these men our resistance would be 100 years behind.” Meanwhile, Hamad and Lubit, 24, targeted Jewish institutions, defacing the Chabad of Squirrel Hill synagogue and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s office with red graffiti reading “Jews 4 Palestine” and “Funds Genocide Jews, Hate Zionists” in July 2024.

Lubit, who allegedly aided Hamad in identifying Jewish targets, expressed her own radicalization in messages to him. “I can literally feel myself starting to see Jews as my enemies,” she wrote. “Like, I’m ANGRY. I’m so tired of feeling like being Jewish means I have to second guess being anti oppression.” She added, “I will not survive being Jewish if I don’t learn to get past that. I’ll just end up abandoning it.”

The FBI traced the vandalism to Hamad, uncovering his explosive devices and thwarting any potential attacks. “We always rely on tips from the public,” an FBI spokesperson told the New York Post. “This really started with the vandalism to the religious institutions here … determining the suspects in that and determining what their motivations were for the fairly strict criteria for a federal hate crime.”

Both Hamad and Lubit have ties to progressive political figures. Hamad donated $10 to Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) in 2023 after her ceasefire advocacy following Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, and $5 to Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) after her censure for labeling Israel an “apartheid government.”

Lubit, along with more than 130 jews, signed a letter that defended Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) for calling for a ceasefire shortly after the same attack.

Collins, 22, faces charges for her role in the explosives conspiracy, though specifics of her involvement remain less detailed. The indictment paints a disturbing picture of Hamad’s intent to sow terror, fueled by his allegiance to Hamas and disdain for Jewish communities.

As the case unfolds, the charges against Hamad, Lubit, and Collins highlight a stark reminder of the persistent threat of homegrown extremism, cloaked in deception and emboldened by ideological fervor.
