Texas Governor Greg Abbott decided if D.C. wouldn’t protect their southern border, then he would. A ton of Democrats are furious with him for that decision.
But Gregg Abbott was stunned by what this major Democrat just announced regarding illegal immigrants.
Probably the biggest failure of the Joe Biden administration is the southern border crisis that has raged on for two years now.
Joe Biden and the Democrats have been unwavering in their decision to do basically nothing about the issue as well.
In fact, their rhetoric in wanting to create a welfare state where the government “takes care” of everybody, is only worsening the situation.
Immigrants know that they can just arrive at the border and claim asylum and then get released into the country where they can go and do whatever they want.
The idea that we can track down everyone who was let into the country on asylum claims is foolish, to say the least.
In response, some Republican governors have taken matters into their own hands to deal with the issue of illegal immigrants in their state.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis flew voluntary illegal immigrants to Democrat utopias like Martha’s Vineyard and that set off a firestorm in the political realm.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been sending immigrants to areas like Washington, D.C., New York City, and Philadelphia.
These are supposed to be “sanctuary cities” where Democrats would welcome them with open arms. Of course, we know that’s not true and Democrats don’t want illegal immigrants in their backyard.
But, surprisingly, it seems it’s not only Republicans taking a stand.
Colorado’s Democrat Governor Jared Polis has been taking a note or two from Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis.
Reportedly, Polis has been helping immigrants travel to other parts of the country as well, including New York City.
Politico reports:
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis plans to send migrants to major cities including New York, Mayor Eric Adams said Tuesday, warning that the nation’s largest city is already struggling to deal an influx of people sent from Texas and other Republican-led states.
Denver has allegedly been struggling to deal with the influx of immigrants as of late. Politico also notes that more than just in the past month, “more than 3,500” immigrants have reached Denver.
Over the past month, more than 3,500 migrants have arrived in Denver, according to the city, and each night around 1,800 asylum seekers have sought shelter in the city.
Of course, Polis isn’t going to do much in the way of promoting the fact that he’s also sending immigrants to sanctuary cities.
He would be politically assassinated if he did so because Democrats have been losing their minds over DeSantis and Abbott doing the same.
But that’s how Democrats act when it comes to immigration.
They want to say things like “no one is illegal” and that all immigrants should receive “free healthcare”, but when the rubber hits the road, Democrats are no where to be seen.
