Chuck Schumer’s career is on life support according to this latest poll

Schumer is in deep trouble. He may never fully recover.

And Chuck Schumer’s career is on life support according to his latest poll.

New Yorkers have finally had enough. A fresh Siena College poll just dropped a political nuclear bomb: only 32% of New York State voters still view Chuck Schumer favorably—his lowest rating in 21 years. A crushing 55% now see the Senate Democrat leader as outright unfavorable. This isn’t a dip. This is a free-fall.

The man who has clung to power for half a century is suddenly radioactive in his own state. Even in deep-blue New York, Schumer can’t buy a kind word.

To make matters worse, his own Democrats are abandoning ship. Among registered Dems, it’s a dead heat: 45% favorable, 43% unfavorable. That’s not a leader. That’s a lame duck waddling toward the exit.

The timing couldn’t be sweeter. Schumer’s collapse comes right after he folded like a cheap suit during Trump’s record-breaking government shutdown fight.

The radical left is furious he didn’t extract one single concession from President Trump and the Republicans. They’re openly calling for his head.

The only group still giving Schumer a lifeline? Black voters, where he squeaks by at 59-22%. Everyone else has turned on him. White voters: 63% unfavorable. Hispanics: 58% unfavorable. Even Jewish voters are split 46-47% against him.

Let that sink in: the Jewish senator from New York can’t even get half of Jewish voters to back him. That’s not loyalty—that’s indifference bordering on contempt.

Schumer has been a political fixture since the disco era—state assembly in the 1970s, Congress, then the Senate since 1998. He’s outlasted trends, scandals, and hairstyles. Yet now, after all those decades of wheeling and dealing, New Yorkers are saying: time’s up.

Siena pollster Steven Greenberg didn’t sugarcoat it: “In February 2005 – the first Siena Poll in its current incarnation – Schumer had a 63-20% favorability rating. In July 2005, he had his all-time best favorability rating, 70-22%.”

Greenberg added the knife twist: “Schumer is viewed unfavorably by a plurality of New York City voters, and strong majorities of downstate suburbanites and upstaters.”

And here’s the cherry on top: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a higher popularity rating than Chuck Schumer. AOC clocks in at 42-37% overall, but with Democrats she’s at 62-20% and with New York City voters 55-27%, per Greenberg. Schumer in NYC? A pathetic 38-48%.

The radical left is already whispering—actually, shouting—that AOC should primary Schumer in 2028 if the old bull doesn’t retire.

They want fresh blood. Younger. Louder. More socialist. They’re ready to finish him off themselves.

Chuck Schumer spent years posing as the tough New York street fighter.

Instead, he got humiliated, capitulated, and now even his own voters can’t stand him.

New Yorkers aren’t just rejecting Schumer. They’re rejecting the entire rotten Democrat establishment he represents.

The message is clear: the era of smug, out-of-touch career politicians is over. And Chuck Schumer just became the poster boy for its collapse.

The Trump era broke the Democrat machine in New York—and they’re eating their own to finish the job.
