Leftist congressman lays out an absurd plan that will make your jaw drop

White House

Democrats are the kings of bad ideas. That’s what makes them so unpopular.

And this Leftist congressman laid out an absurd plan that will make your jaw drop.

In the latest episode of partisan gamesmanship on CNN’s “The Source,” Texas Democrat Rep. Greg Casar took to the airwaves to lecture everyone about who really deserves a paycheck during the Department of Homeland Security mess.

Casar made it crystal clear where his loyalties lie, insisting that TSA workers must get their money.

Republicans had pushed back hard, demanding that Border Patrol agents and the rest of the essential DHS team stuck without pay because of the shutdown receive the same treatment.

But Casar wasn’t having any of it. He brushed off the concerns for the men and women actually guarding the southern border with a casual wave.

“We have a disagreement about ICE funding,” he declared flatly.

Host Kaitlan Collins laid out the Republican position plainly: the GOP is “arguing that Border Patrol officials and everyone else who are not getting paid either because of the DHS shutdown, that they should all also get paid.”

Casar jumped in with his scripted deflection, trying to steer the conversation away from actual border security.

“But let’s — one second, we can talk about ICE and Border Patrol. There is a historic amount of money in ICE. And we have a disagreement about ICE funding, Sen. Cornyn and I do. But Sen. Cornyn came to the Austin airport, to bring burgers to TSA workers just one week after he blocked the bill that would have given them their paychecks,” he said.

“So, I think it’s perfectly fair to say, don’t bring people burgers, give them their paychecks. He blocked the funding that would have gone to those TSA workers, and that’s just the truth. Democrats, under unanimous consent, said, we’ll fund the TSA, and it was folks like Sen. Cornyn that blocked those paychecks.”

The Democrat congressman’s admission about clashing with Sen. Cornyn over ICE money speaks volumes. Leftists believe the agency already has plenty, even as record encounters overwhelm every resource.

Real patriots know the truth: funding for enforcement at the border isn’t optional. It’s survival for our sovereignty.

Casar’s cheap shot about the burgers ignores the bigger fight.

Establishment Republicans like Cornyn sometimes play Washington games, but the core issue remains Democrats blocking any bill that actually secures the border first.

This whole shutdown standoff exposes how the left treats border enforcement as an afterthought.
