The Left has lost the plot. Now they are aiding our enemies.

And this Democrat politician was forced to kowtow to terrorist loving constituents.

Caving to Constituents in Michigan Senate Race

Democratic Senate hopeful Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, a progressive Muslim candidate vying for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat in 2026, has come under fire after audio revealed his reluctance to speak out against the elimination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In an internal staff call just one day after President Trump’s decisive “Operation Epic Fury,” El-Sayed instructed his team to stay silent on the matter to avoid offending voters in Dearborn — home to one of the largest Muslim communities in the United States and now the nation’s first majority-Muslim city.

Prioritizing Dearborn Sentiments Over Condemning a Tyrant

El-Sayed explicitly told staff, “I also want to remind you guys that there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad today. So, like, I just don’t want to comment on Khamenei at all. Like, I don’t think it’s worth even touching that.”

While he privately acknowledged Khamenei as “a bad man,” he criticized the U.S. action as breaking international law and unilateral aggression outside of wartime.

In campaign prep sessions, he framed the United States and Israel as the aggressors who “attacked first,” suggesting Iran’s responses were predictable retaliation, and even floated deflecting tough questions by attacking the president personally with inflammatory rhetoric.

Appeasement Politics Undermines Strong Leadership

The episode highlights how pressure from certain voter blocs appears to be silencing Democratic voices on critical national security issues.

El-Sayed, endorsed by Sen. Bernie Sanders and pushing radical positions like abolishing ICE, has a history of controversial statements on Israel and the Middle East that have already drawn backlash.

His campaign’s legal team responded to the leaked audio by threatening action against the person who recorded the internal meeting, rather than addressing the substance of his hesitation.

In Dearborn and broader Michigan, where Muslim voters form a significant Democratic base, this dynamic raises concerns that appeasing anti-American or pro-regime sentiments is taking precedence over clear condemnation of terrorist-sponsoring dictators and firm support for U.S. interests.

El-Sayed’s strategy of avoidance stands in contrast to bolder leadership that prioritizes American strength and accountability over political sensitivities.
