Democrat controlled states are in trouble. They aren’t going to be able to get away with their radicalism for long.
And blue states are shaking in fear over what the Trump admin just threatened them with.
During Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins laid out a shocking exposé on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, slamming it for widespread abuse and pledging a fierce push to make states toe the line on federal rules.
Rollins highlighted major wins under the current president’s leadership, pointing out that roughly 800,000 people have already exited the SNAP rolls. With the program aiding 42 million folks nationwide, she stressed the urgency of cleaning up a setup that’s been milked dry for years.
Diving into the details, Rollins unveiled results from her department’s important data-matching push, which she says blue states have stonewalled at every turn.
“We found 500,000 people receiving benefits more than twice,” she declared, adding, “We had a couple of people receiving benefits in six states.”
Back in February, the USDA reached out to every state demanding SNAP recipient info to root out cheats. But 21 holdouts, like California, New York, and Minnesota, flat-out refused, blocking efforts to safeguard public dollars.
Fed up with the defiance, Rollins fired a warning shot: starting next week, those rebel states will lose federal funding unless they cough up the data and team up to defend hardworking Americans’ money.
She didn’t hold back on slamming the last crew in charge, accusing President Biden of bloating food-stamp spending by a whopping 40 percent. In her sharp words, he was “working to buy [the] election a year ago.”
The showdown heated up last month when Rollins dropped a bombshell: a staggering 186,000 dead people were still cashing in on SNAP benefits. That’s way beyond the early guess of just 5,000 in one month alone.
Right from day one on the job, Rollins demanded states hand over key details on recipients—names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, addresses—to spot fraud and block handouts to those here illegally.
She blasted Democrats for fighting the data share, claiming their game plan “depends on protecting illegal aliens.”
So far, 29 states that are mostly red have stepped up and shared their info, giving the feds the ammo to uncover the scams already tallied.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg from cooperative areas. “Can you imagine when we get our hands on the blue-state data?” Rollins asked, hinting at even bigger revelations ahead.
With complete access, the USDA plans to overhaul SNAP entirely, forcing every user to reapply and tightening rules so aid goes only to citizens who truly need it to get by.
Rollins painted a picture of a program reclaimed for real Americans, reserved strictly for those who “literally cannot survive without it.” No more free rides on the taxpayer dime.
This crackdown signals a shift toward accountability, where states can’t hide behind excuses while fraud runs wild. It’s about time someone stood up to the liberal strongholds dragging their feet.
As the administration ramps up pressure, expect more fireworks as blue states scramble to comply—or face the financial hit.
Rollins’ update is a wake-up call for fixing a broken welfare machine that’s long favored cheats over the deserving.
