It’s no secret that the Left hates everything this country was founded on. But they don’t usually come out and say it.
But a Democrat politician was just exposed for supporting this American enemy.
Politicians in Tennessee have been making headlines for weeks now.
Ever since the transgender-identifying Audrey Hale murdered six people at a Christian school, the state has become a battleground for gun control protests.
Just a few days ago, protesters rushed the State Capitol, bringing the legislative process to a standstill.
Of course, no media outlets labelled this an “insurrection” or a dark day for democracy.
That’s partly because three Democrat legislators in Tennessee helped the group infiltrate the building, and one even hid a bullhorn underneath his coat.
Thankfully two of the Democrats, Reps. Justin Jones and Justin Pearson, were expelled from the legislature in a vote yesterday.
Unfortunately, however, Rep. Gloria Johnson survived her vote and will remain in office – and she has some strong words for Republicans.
“I feel like North Korea has more democracy than we do in the state of Tennessee, and it’s terrifying to me that we’re in this march to fascism,” state Rep. Gloria Johnson told Mother Jones in an interview.
That’s right, Johnson thinks North Korea, where political dissidents are shot or sent to forced labor camps, has more democracy than the United States…give us a break.
Tennessee House Republicans voted Monday to remove the three legislators from committee assignments.
The Republican Speaker of the House, Cameron Sexton, called the lawmakers’ participation in the demonstration “unacceptable.” on Monday.
“Their actions are and will always be unacceptable, and they break several rules of decorum and procedure on the House floor,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Their actions and beliefs that they could be arrested on the House floor were an effort, unfortunately, to make themselves the victims. In effect, those actions took away the voices of the protestors, the focus on the six victims who lost their lives, and the families who lost their loved ones.”
Jones stated at a press conference on Monday that Sexton is putting politics ahead of dealing with the school shooting.
“We are members, who are standing in the well, telling our speakers and our colleagues that kids should not be murdered in school,” Jones said.
“And rather than address that issue, the speaker has spent more time on Twitter this weekend talking about a fake insurrection than he did about the deaths of six people including 9-year-old children.”
The irony of Jones calling the storming of the Capitol a “fake insurrection” was completely lost on the Left.
They’ve been peddling the very same rhetoric as a reason to disqualify Donald Trump from running in 2024 for years now.
Rules for thee, but not for me.
