The political world is in a frenzy. They desperately want to know what was discussed by the president-elect and these Democrats.
But Donald Trump has finally released the contents of a secret closed door meeting with these Leftist media hosts.
President-elect Donald Trump confirmed on Monday that he had a private meeting with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Trump described the discussion as “extremely cordial” and highlighted the importance of maintaining dialogue with the press.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump shared that the meeting occurred on Friday morning at the request of the MSNBC anchors.
During their show Monday, Scarborough and Brzezinski revealed that it was their first face-to-face conversation with Trump in seven years, adding that the encounter marked an agreement “to restart communications.”
Reflecting on the discussion, Trump said the hosts praised his campaign efforts. According to him, Brzezinski and Scarborough “congratulated me on running a ‘great and flawless campaign, one for the history books,’” a sentiment he echoed.
He attributed his campaign’s success to hard work, noting that he may have worked “longer and harder than any presidential candidate in history.”
The conversation also touched on Trump’s Cabinet picks, both those announced and yet to be disclosed.
“As expected, they like some very much, but not all,” Trump remarked. Despite potential differences, he described the meeting as ending “in a very positive manner,” with an agreement to maintain contact in the future.
On-air, Brzezinski portrayed Trump as “cheerful,” “upbeat,” and seemingly eager to collaborate with Democrats on divisive issues. However, she acknowledged her and Scarborough’s “deep concerns” about a potential second Trump administration.
She emphasized the weight of nearly 80 million voters who had voiced their priorities, ultimately returning Trump to the White House.

Criticism of the meeting came swiftly, especially from conservative commentators who accused the “Morning Joe” duo of hypocrisy.
Critics highlighted their history of amplifying Democratic claims that Trump poses a “threat” to the country. CNN contributor Scott Jennings quipped, “Hitler getting a lot more meeting requests than I would’ve thought.”
Trump defended his openness to engaging with the press, telling Fox News that he has “an obligation to the American public, and to our country itself, to be open and available to the press.”
However, he warned that fairness would be a prerequisite: “If I’m not treated fairly … that will end.”
Trump emphasized the media’s role in America’s long-term success but signaled a firm stance on forgiveness. “I am always looking to give a second and even third chance, but never willing to give a fourth chance — that is where I hold the line.”
While he acknowledged ongoing interest from media outlets for meetings, Trump reiterated his commitment to avoiding retribution or grandstanding, choosing instead to prioritize dialogue.
For now, Trump’s meeting with Scarborough and Brzezinski may represent a tentative step toward bridging divides, though it remains to be seen how the dynamics between the president-elect and the media will evolve in the months ahead.
