Pence was there on January 6. He’s not shy to give his opinion on the events of that day.

And Mike Pence spoke out on January 6 by making these jaw-dropping statements.

In a revealing exchange on HBO’s “Real Time,” former Vice President Mike Pence didn’t hold back when speaking about January 6.

Host Bill Maher pushed for some common ground, suggesting that not everyone at the Capitol was there with malicious intent.

He floated the idea of pardons for most participants, acknowledging that while some crossed lines, others were simply caught in the moment.

Maher asked if they could differentiate between regular folks and the handful of bad actors who wanted to harm Pence himself.

Pence responded firmly: “Bill, I made it clear I had no problem with the president pardoning people who got caught up in that day.”

“But for anyone who assaulted a police officer, anybody that violated and vandalized the seat of our government and sought to disrupt the counting of electoral college votes, those people never should have been pardoned, and they should never get a dime.”

Maher pressed further on the infamous “hanging” chants: “So, no ill feelings about the hanging thing?”

Pence paused, offering a measured reply.

When asked if he ever feared for his life, the former vice president declared: “Well, to be honest with you, I never felt a greater sense of resolve any day in my life than on January 6.”

That sense of resolve, in Pence’s telling, meant standing firm for the certification process no matter the cost.
