Pentagon investigating Democrat senator for treasonous act

The Pentagon doesn’t take treason lightly. That’s why they’ve decided to take action.

And the Pentagon is investigating a Democrat senator a treasonous act.

The Pentagon has launched an investigation into serious misconduct allegations against Senator Mark Kelly, a move that could lead straight to court-martial.

This comes hot on the heels of President Trump’s sharp criticism, labeling Kelly’s actions as downright seditious. It’s a bold step that shows the administration isn’t messing around when it comes to protecting American troops from dangerous political games.

At the center of this storm is a video featuring Kelly, a Democrat from Arizona, alongside five other veteran Democrats. In it, they urge active service members to flat-out “refuse illegal orders.” President Trump didn’t hold back, blasting the group for what he sees as betrayal of the highest order.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth didn’t mince words, hinting strongly that the probe targets this exact video. He made it clear that encouraging America’s brave warriors to ignore commands from their superiors is a direct assault on the military’s core principles.

The Department of War issued a firm statement, emphasizing that everything will proceed according to military law, with full due process and no favoritism. They reminded everyone in uniform: “All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ [Uniform Code of Military Justice] to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful.”

Adding to that, the statement drove home a key point: “A servicemember’s personal philosophy does not justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order.” This is a wake-up call for anyone thinking their opinions trump duty.

Hegseth pointed out that most of the group escapes scrutiny because they’re not under the Department’s reach. For instance, Senator Elissa Slotkin from Michigan served in the CIA, and the others aren’t retired military like Kelly, so they’re off the hook.

On X, Hegseth unloaded: “The video made by the ‘Seditious Six’ was despicable, reckless, and false.” He slammed it for eroding the good order and discipline that keeps U.S. forces strong and united.

He went further, saying it plants seeds of doubt and chaos, putting American soldiers at real risk. Hegseth stressed that Kelly’s use of his rank and military background gave his words an air of official weight, which disgraces the entire armed forces.

Kelly claims he only found out about the investigation through Hegseth’s social media post. He shot back defiantly, refusing to back down.

In his statement, Kelly declared: “If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work.”

He added: “I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.” But many see this as just more deflection from a politician playing fast and loose with national security.

The video itself, released last week, featured Kelly, Slotkin, and Representatives Jason Crow, Maggie Goodlander, Chris Deluzio, and Chrissy Houlahan. They preached about sticking to the Constitution and ditching “illegal orders,” but tellingly, they named zero examples of what those might be.

Republicans wasted no time in calling them out, with President Trump leading the charge. On Truth Social, he raged: “It’s called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.”

Trump demanded action: “Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL. Their words cannot be allowed to stand – We won’t have a Country anymore!!! An example MUST BE SET.”

He even reposted a stark message: “Hang them George Washington would.” That got Democratic leaders like Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer scrambling, demanding extra protection for their colleagues as if the real threat wasn’t their own reckless words.

Over the weekend, Trump dialed it back a notch, suggesting jail time instead. Still, the six Democrats haven’t budged, insisting their video stands as is.

This standoff highlights a deep divide, where one side prioritizes chain of command and the other seems eager to stir up mutiny for political points.
