Adm. Brad Cooper, Commander of U.S. Central Command, stated that the blockade “has been fully implemented as U.S. forces maintain maritime superiority in the Middle East.”
He noted that an estimated 90% of Iran’s economy relies on international sea trade, and in less than 36 hours, U.S. forces had completely halted that flow.
