The Trump administration is working around the clock to protect U.S. citizens. That’s one of their main goals.
And the Trump admin announces a ban on this dangerous practice that risks the lives of children.
President Donald Trump’s administration unveiled a sweeping crackdown on Thursday aimed at stopping hospitals from pushing harmful gender experiments on kids under 18. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is leading the charge, targeting what they call “s*x-rejecting” procedures that have no place in real medicine.
This offensive isn’t just talk—it’s a full-on assault across multiple departments to halt the use of drugs and surgeries that mess with children’s natural development. On top of that, they’re slamming the brakes on shady marketing of devices like breast binders to vulnerable minors dealing with gender confusion.
The push also aims to undo the damage from the Biden era, where they tried to twist gender dysphoria into some kind of “disability.” That’s over now, as the Trump team restores sanity to federal health policies.
Shocking numbers from HHS claims data reveal the extent of this nightmare: almost 14,000 minors obtained s*x-rejecting procedures between the years 2019 and 2023. That’s thousands of kids potentially scarred for life.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. stepped up on Thursday with a strong declaration, which states that s*x-rejecting procedures “do not meet professionally recognized standards of health care.” He made it clear that doctors peddling this junk are no longer complying with new medical standards.
These new rules are straight out of President Trump’s Executive Order, which demands HHS put an end to practices that “expose young people to irreversible harm.” It’s about time someone in Washington stood up for innocent children against this radical agenda.
HHS laid it out plainly: “S*x-rejecting procedures on children — which include puberty blockers, cross-s*x hormones, and surgical operations — cause irreversible damage, including infertility, impaired s*xual function, diminished bone density, altered brain development, and other irreversible physiological effects.” No sugarcoating here—these interventions are a direct threat to kids’ futures.
To enforce this, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is making compliance a must for hospitals wanting to stay in Medicare and Medicaid programs. Almost every hospital in the country uses these programs, so this hits where it hurts.
As HHS put it, “Nearly all U.S. hospitals participate in Medicare and Medicaid and this action is designed to ensure that the U.S. government will not be in business with organizations that intentionally or unintentionally inflict permanent harm on children.” Finally, taxpayer dollars won’t bankroll this child abuse anymore.
CMS is pulling from solid legal ground in sections 1861(e)(9), 1871, and 1905(a) of the Social Security Act to set these safety standards. And it’s not stopping there—the rules will cover federal Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) funds too.
HHS isn’t just banning bad practices; they’re arming parents with the truth about gender dysphoria. In November, they released a peer-reviewed study called “Treatment for Pediatric Gender Dysphoria: Review of Evidence and Best Practices,” exposing the real risks of trying to alter a child’s biological s*x.
An HHS official didn’t mince words during a Thursday press call: “Parents have been misinformed” when it comes to gender dysphoria by the former Biden admin. These new regs are designed to empower moms and dads to shield their kids from dangerous lies.
Backing that up, Assistant Secretary for Health and Head of the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps Admiral Brian Christine, M.D., issued a public health message on Thursday.
It equips medical providers, families, and leaders with hard evidence to counter the bogus claims from progressive activists that puberty blockers, cross-s*x hormones, and surgeries are effective and safe for kids.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is going after the illegal peddling of breast binders—devices meant for things like post-mastectomy recovery, not confusing young girls.
They’ve sent warning letters to 12 manufacturers, demanding they cease marketing these to minors for gender dysphoria and fix their ways.
The Office for Civil Rights is also stepping in with a proposed tweak to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This change makes it crystal clear that “disability” and “individual with a disability” definitions don’t include “gender dysphoria” unless it’s tied to actual physical issues.
It gives HHS-funded groups the green light to block these procedures without fear of bogus discrimination lawsuits.
