Joe Biden’s reelection chances were already looking grim. But now his fate may be officially sealed.
And President Biden’s campaign is on life support after these sobering test results came in.
The radical Left is working night and day to try and fear-monger to the American people that a second Donald Trump presidential term would be the end of democracy as we know it.
They constantly try and convince voters that Trump wants to destroy democracy and turn the United States government into a complete dictatorship.
Of course, anyone with half a functioning brain knows that isn’t the case.
And a new survey has been released that proves that Americans aren’t buying the Left’s lies relating to Trump’s alleged threat to democracy.
Poll Results Destroy Biden Campaign’s Threat to Democracy Narrative
A new poll reveals that voters in key swing states have more trust in former President Donald Trump to protect America’s democracy than President Joe Biden. The Washington Post/Schar School survey, released on Wednesday, found that 38% of voters across six crucial states favor Trump in handling threats to democracy, compared to 29% who back Biden.
The poll took place in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
This follows a similar PBS poll from earlier this month, where 29% of voters identified preserving democracy as their top issue, just under the 30% who stated that inflation was their main concern.
While a significant majority of voters from both parties agree that democracy is in jeopardy, there is little consensus on what constitutes as a threat.
Many polls don’t explain the nature of these threats, who is posing the danger, or how it manifests across the country.
Questions asked in the poll included, “How important are each of the following issues in your vote for president? Threats to democracy in the United States,” and “How satisfied are you with the way democracy is working in the U.S.?” The vague nature of these questions resulted in similar trends among both Democrat and Republican participants.
It is evident that many Trump supporters believe Democrats rigged the 2020 presidential election and that the indictments against Trump are politically motivated, therefore they view the Left as a threat to democracy.
Conversely, top Democrats argue that Trump’s claims of a “stolen election” and the January 6 riots on the Capitol represent significant threats to the country.
Both parties have leveraged the issue of democracy to galvanize their bases. At a campaign rally this spring, Trump warned voters in Ohio that losing the election would mean the end of democracy. “I don’t think you’re going to have another election in this country if we don’t win this election … certainly not an election that’s meaningful,” he stated.
Trump has also adopted the phrase “Too Big to Rig” at recent rallies, emphasizing the need for a decisive victory to prevent any possibility of election tampering. “We have to win so that it’s too big to rig,” he stated during a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina in March.
A Rasmussen poll last year reported that 62% of voters believe cheating likely influenced the outcome of the 2020 election, and a poll released in January showed that more than one-third of adults considered Biden’s win illegitimate.
“We’re not the ones trying to undermine American democracy,” Trump said to Republicans in Alabama last August. “We are the ones fighting to save our democracy. This ridiculous indictment against us, it’s not a legal case. It’s an act of desperation by a failed and disgraced crooked Joe Biden and his radical-left thugs to preserve their grip on power.”
The Biden campaign, on the other hand, is intensifying its warnings about the consequences of a potential Trump victory. “He’s willing to sacrifice democracy to put himself in power,” Biden said in January during a campaign speech. “Democracy is on the ballot. Your freedom is on the ballot,” he told the nation.
Top Democrats have echoed Biden’s concerns. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in a recent op-ed, urged voters to recognize the fundamental stakes involved. “Try to see through the bluster and focus on the fundamentals at stake,” she wrote, linking Trump’s refusal to accept the 2016 election results to the January 6 Capitol insurrection.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) also voiced his apprehensions last month. “Donald Trump seems to have no consideration for the sanctity and peacefulness and further functioning of our democracy,” Schumer said on the Senate floor, criticizing Trump’s continued claims that the 2020 election was rigged as a “Big Lie [that] is poisoning our democracy.”
The Left can moan and groan all they want, but Americans know the truth about who will really protect democracy in the United States.
