And this former CNN host goes off the rails in an unhinged attack on Melania Trump.

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon is facing a storm of criticism for mocking former First Lady Melania Trump after she called for answers regarding the recent assassination attempt on her husband, former President Donald Trump.

Earlier this week, Lemon posted a TikTok video in which he reacted to a clip Melania, 57, had shared on social media.

In her post, she addressed the disturbing events of the July 13 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt.

Lemon, who has been entangled in controversy before, filmed himself visibly rolling his eyes and shaking his head while watching Melania’s message, where she described the incident as “distressing” and “horrible.”

At one point in the video, Lemon dramatically threw his hands in the air when the former first lady questioned law enforcement’s involvement, stating, “there is definitely more to this story and we need to uncover the truth.”

The social media backlash was immediate and intense. Many criticized Lemon for being insensitive and out of touch, with accusations that he was using the tragic incident for attention.

“Don Lemon mocks Melania Trump describing her distress over the attempted assssnation of her husband. Sick,” tweeted the popular conservative account Libs of TikTok.

Conservative voices from various platforms joined in the condemnation. Paul Szypula, a political commentator, wrote on X: “Hey @donlemon, so can you have empathy for a human without considering politics for once in your life?”

Radio host Stacy Washington pointed out the seriousness of the situation: “We should all be distressed when someone tries to k*ll a former president and actually k*lls an innocent man in the crowd. Do better Don Lemon.”

Journalist Ian Miles wasn’t any less direct, branding Lemon as a “sick freak,” while Sky News host Rita Panahi took to X, remarking, “Really @donlemon you’re going to mock a woman distressed by an assassination attempt against her husband & the many unanswered questions that remain to this day. Classy.”

In response to the uproar, Lemon’s video has since been removed from his TikTok page, though it is unclear exactly when the clip was taken down.

The incident continues to generate conversation as Lemon remains silent on the matter, leaving many wondering if he will address the backlash or if his video’s deletion will be his final word on the controversy.

But it’s a pretty safe bet to assume that Don Lemon will likely not hold himself accountable for his actions that led to him mocking the former first lady of the United States.
