Harris is in an all out battle to defeat former President Trump. But things have taken a bad turn very quickly for her.
As this latest endorsement announcement just sent Kamala Harris’s campaign into a tailspin.
White Supremacist Leader Publicly Endorses Kamala Harris for President
Richard Spencer, a well-known white supremacist and advocate of racist ideologies, has taken the unusual step of endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election.
Spencer, a prominent figure in the white nationalist movement, is recognized for coining the term “alt-right” and for his prominent role in the infamous 2017 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Recently, he described Harris as the “best manager of the American empire” and encouraged his followers to support her bid for the presidency.
Spencer, known for his inflammatory views and extreme rhetoric, first gained widespread attention after shouting “Hail Trump! Hail our people!” to a crowd giving Nazi salutes at a white nationalist event in 2016.”
His discontent with former President Donald Trump has grown over the years, particularly regarding Trump’s strong support for Israel.
In a recent video posted on X, Spencer said that while Harris aims to “be all things to all people” on the Israel-Palestine issue, he ultimately favored her stance over Trump’s.
“At the DNC, she said that she 100% supports Israel. She’ll give Israel lethal aid. She also said that the suffering is tremendous, and she also said that Palestinians deserve their own state, their own sovereignty, that they need to have a government, a legitimate organization through which they can live in peace, side by side with Israel,” Spencer noted. He added, “I have criticisms of that, but nevertheless, I find that better than Donald Trump.”
In particular, Spencer expressed concern that Trump could escalate conflict with Iran by supporting Israel in military action.
He suggested that Harris, by contrast, may adopt a more balanced approach.
“If there is a regional conflict between Israel and Iran, Trump seems much more likely to not only support Israel in this, but take part in it, start bombing Iranian nuclear facilities,” he argued.
Spencer also appreciated what he described as Harris’s tendency to “with the flow,” adding that this characteristic aligned with a shift toward “centrism” and “rational government.”
He sees this as a direction he can “responsibly support.” In Spencer’s words, “I’m happily voting for Kamala Harris.”
Beyond the presidential race, Spencer also expressed his support for other Democratic candidates in his home state of Montana, including Senator John Tester and House candidate Monica Tranel. He indicated he would be voting straight down the Democratic ticket.
Spencer is not the first prominent white nationalist to express interest in anti-Israel Democratic figures. Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke once praised Rep. Ilhan Omar as “the most important member of the US Congress!”
Though Spencer was a vocal supporter of Trump in 2016, his disillusionment with the former president has grown.
He criticized Trump for allegedly shutting down substantive political dialogue, stating, “Trump has closed off discussion of important ideas. And he has amplified idiocy.”
The major question in all of this is if the mainstream media will cover the Richard Spencer endorsement of Kamala Harris the way they did when he endorsed Trump in 2016?
Back then, they argued that if a racist like Spencer was supporting Trump, then therefore Trump must be a racist as well. It’s likely that same thought process won’t be used towards Kamala Harris and the endorsement she received from Richard Spencer.
