The former Democrat president is spewing disturbing lies. He doesn’t care as long as he can attack Trump.
And Bill Clinton just made an absurd claim about Donald Trump that left everyone speechless.
Former President Bill Clinton sparked a wave of discussion during his Tuesday appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Clinton alleged that President-elect Donald Trump had recently told Christian voters—whom he referred to as “Christian nationalists”—that if they secured his return to the White House, he would ensure future elections were rigged in their favor.
Clinton stated, “Not long before the election, President Trump did an interview with a conservative radio station and said that his Christian nationalists had to get out and vote this time but if they did and he won they would never have to vote again because he’d have it rigged so they wouldn’t have to worry.”
Despite Clinton’s assertion, there is no evidence to suggest that Trump has ever claimed or implied an intent to rig elections.
The former president appeared to conflate details from multiple events. His comments seem to point to a speech Trump gave in July at Turning Point Action’s Believers’ Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida, rather than any recent radio interview.
In that speech, Trump addressed concerns about voter fraud and called on Christian voters to mobilize, highlighting the need for voter ID laws and election reforms to ensure integrity in future elections.
“Four years, it will be fixed, it will be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore. In four years, you won’t have to vote again,” Trump said at the event.
Trump’s remarks were taken out of context by some media outlets, including The Atlantic, which framed the statement as a declaration that he would undermine or eliminate the electoral process.
This narrative gained traction on social media and mainstream platforms, fueling widespread misinformation.
Notably, and unsurprisingly, Colbert did not challenge Clinton’s mischaracterization of Trump’s comments during the segment.
Clinton also used the appearance to portray Democrats as champions of peaceful power transitions following elections.
However, he made no mention of his wife Hillary Clinton’s role in promoting the Russia collusion narrative, which sought to delegitimize the results of the 2016 election by falsely branding Trump as a Russian asset.
In a 2019 interview with CBS’ Sunday Morning, Hillary Clinton said that Trump was an “illegitimate president,” adding, “I know that he knows that this [the 2016 election] wasn’t on the level.”

Subsequent investigations, including the Durham report, cleared Trump of collusion with Russia. Hillary Clinton, however, has not faced consequences for her involvement in perpetuating the now-discredited narrative.
