Donald Trump has been wronged by countless people. He’s finally getting them back.
And the Trump admin gets revenge on this top Leftist in a major way.
New York AG Letitia James Caught in Controversy Over Alleged Mortgage Fraud
A wave of excitement swept through conservative circles as New York Attorney General Letitia James faced a surprising twist: a criminal referral for alleged mortgage fraud. The news sparked gleeful reactions from Republican lawmakers and commentators, who saw a poetic justice in James potentially having to “eat her own words” after her high-profile legal battles against President Donald Trump.
The controversy erupted when the Trump administration referred James to federal authorities, accusing her of falsifying records to secure favorable home loans for a property in Virginia.

Critics pounced on the irony, pointing to James’ own mantra, “no one is above the law,” which she famously wielded while targeting the Trump Organization for inflating property values in a civil fraud case that ended with a staggering $454 million judgment.
Republican voices wasted no time reveling in what they called “karma.” Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton remarked, “Letitia James engaged in some of the most shameful, partisan lawfare against President Trump — based on far less evidence than this.”

Indiana Sen. Jim Banks called for a thorough investigation, stating, “These allegations must be investigated thoroughly.” Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt took to X, slyly tweaking James’ own words: “Something, something… no one is above the law.”
Conservative commentators joined the chorus, with legal scholar and New York Post columnist Jonathan Turley calling the situation “crushing” in its irony.
In an X post, he wrote, “She previously prosecuted Trump for everything short of ripping a label off a mattress. She emphasized that Trump was ultimately responsible for any filings made in his name or that of his company.”
The allegations stem from a letter sent by Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director William Pulte to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy AG Todd Blanche. Pulte claimed James “falsified records” to secure loans for a Norfolk, Virginia, property she listed as her “principal residence” in 2023.
The timing adds fuel to the fire: the alleged misconduct occurred in August 2023, mere weeks before James launched her civil fraud trial against Trump’s business empire.
Pulte’s letter highlighted a key issue: “Ms. James was the sitting Attorney General of New York and is required by law to have her primary residence in the state of New York — even though her mortgage applications list her intent to have the Norfolk, VA, property as her primary home.”
The letter further suggested that James’ misrepresentations may have persisted in her 2023 Virginia property purchase, allegedly to secure better loan terms and lower interest rates.
James’ office responded defiantly, framing the referral as a politically motivated attack. “Attorney General James is focused every single day on protecting New Yorkers, especially as this Administration weaponizes the federal government against the rule of law and the Constitution,” a spokesperson declared. “She will not be intimidated by bullies — no matter who they are.”
As the allegations unfold, the clash between James and her critics promises to fuel heated debates, with conservatives savoring the chance to turn the tables on an AG they’ve long accused of partisan overreach.
