A new victory for Donald Trump could change everything about the 2024 election

Trump is in the driver’s seat for the GOP nomination for president. He has all the momentum right now.

And a new victory for Donald Trump could change everything about the 2024 election.

Former President Donald Trump continues to soar in the polls.

According to polling from FiveThirtyEight, he sits at 59.2% in national polling for the Republican primary.

But those numbers might just shoot up moving forward, as Trump has gained the support of a prominent Republican governor.

This past Sunday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) officially endorsed Donald Trump for President of the United States at an event in Edinburg, Texas.

At the event, Abbott told the mayors of New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. – cities that are being overrun with illegal aliens – that they “need a new president,” because “Joe Biden has failed at national security. We need a president that will secure the border.”

“We need Donald J. Trump back as our president of the United States of America. We need a president who is going to secure the border.”

“I’m here today to officially proclaim my endorsement for Donald J. Trump to be President of the United States of America, again.”

Abbott, whose state is on the front lines of Biden’s border crisis at the southern border, knows all to well about the problems that are occurring due to the mass influx of illegal immigrants.

That’s why he feels so strongly about replacing Biden with Trump, who’s policies are much more effective at stopping illegal immigration.

“Joe Biden is causing a potential terror threat in the United States of America. A president has one ultimate responsibility and that’s national security,” Abbott continued.

“Joe Biden has failed at national security. Well, I’m here to tell you that there is no way, no way that America can continue under the leadership of Joe Biden as our president.”

Trump, of course, was thrilled with the endorsement.

“I am going to make your job much easier. We love Texas,” the former president said to Governor Abbott.

“You’re not going to have to worry about the border anymore, governor. You’re not going to have to worry about the border in Texas or Arizona or anywhere else.”

The size of Abbott’s endorsement is certainly a big deal as according to Trump, the governor is “not free and easy with endorsements.”

It also shows that Abbott fully trusts Donald Trump over other Republican candidates, to close America’s southern border.

This endorsement could also serve Trump well in the polls moving forward.
