Joe Biden’s presidential campaign is in freefall. There’s no way for him to recover after this.
And the Biden campaign was brought to its knees after being exposed for this one heinous act.
The world was stunned last Saturday after Donald Trump came just centimeters away from losing his life during an assassination attempt.
Following the incident, there were immediate calls from both sides of the political aisle to tone done the rhetoric that we’ve seen so far during this presidential election cycle.
However, the Democrats, particularly the Biden/Harris campaign, don’t seem all that interested in toning down any nasty rhetoric.
Biden Campaign Website Features Fatal Error
President Joe Biden’s campaign website still contains comments asserting, “We need to stop Trump before it’s too late,” despite his recent appeals to reject political violence following the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
As of Monday at 12 p.m., the site for the Biden-Harris campaign, which solicits donations starting at $25, features a chatbot pop-up stating: “We need to stop Trump before it’s too late.”
Additionally, the issues page continues to describe Trump as a “dangerous threat to democracy.”
In a prime-time address on Sunday night, Biden called for calm and urged the public to “lower the temperature in our politics.”
“We cannot, we must not, go down this road in America,” Biden said. “There is no place in America for this kind of violence or for any violence ever. Period. No exceptions. We can’t allow this violence to be normalized.”
Biden not only referenced Trump but also highlighted several other recent instances of political violence, including the 2017 shooting of House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA).
Scalise connected Saturday’s shooting to “incendiary rhetoric” about Trump from Democrats.
“For weeks Democrat leaders have been fueling ludicrous hysteria that Donald Trump winning re-election would be the end of democracy in America,” Scalise said in a statement.
“Clearly we’ve seen far left lunatics act on violent rhetoric in the past. This incendiary rhetoric must stop.”
The attempted assassination of Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday resulted in the deaths of one attendee and the gunman, with two other attendees in critical but stable condition. Trump, who was grazed by a bullet, was treated at a local hospital and released that same night.
Trump’s Republican supporters have pointed to a comment Biden made on July 8 during a meeting with donors, where he discussed his debate performance.
“I have one job, and that’s to beat Donald Trump,” Biden said. “We’re done talking about the debate. It’s time to put Trump in the bull’s-eye. He’s gotten away with doing nothing for the last 10 days except ride around in his golf cart.”
Trump is currently in Wisconsin for the Republican National Convention and will deliver a speech Thursday night.
