Our elected officials should only look out for Americans. But that isn’t always the case.
Now Chuck Schumer is in huge trouble after committing a treasonous act.
Trump Defends Asia Trip as a Triumph
Former President Donald Trump vehemently countered Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer’s scathing remarks about his recent Asia tour, labeling the New York Democrat’s critique as “almost treasonous.”
In a fiery post on Truth Social while returning to Washington on Air Force One, Trump defended the trip’s monumental achievements.
“Worked really hard, 24/7, took in Trillions of Dollars and Chuck Schumer said trip was a ‘total dud,’ even though he knows it was a spectacular success. Words like that are almost treasonous!!” he declared, underscoring the economic wins secured during his travels.
Schumer Slams Trip as Political Posturing
In a blistering Senate floor speech on Wednesday, Schumer derided Trump’s Asian itinerary, accusing him of “gallivanting in Asia, dancing in Malaysia” while the U.S. grapples with a government shutdown now in its 29th day.
Schumer painted the trip as a superficial spectacle, particularly criticizing Trump’s upcoming talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“He’s preparing now to meet with President Xi of China to strike a trade deal that will sell out the American people — giving away vital national security tools in exchange for little more than a photo op,” Schumer charged.
He further dismissed the tour as “a total dud,” claiming Trump was merely “patting himself hard on the back for cleaning up a mess he created.”
Strategic Deals Mark Asia Tour Success
Trump’s high-octane journey through Asia, with key stops in Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea, targeted nations impacted by his bold tariff policies.
The tour yielded significant agreements, including a pact with South Korea to reduce tariffs in exchange for a $350 billion investment in the U.S. economy.
Meetings with Japan’s new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and a critical summit with Xi Jinping also bore fruit, with Trump announcing tariff reductions on Chinese imports, resumed American soybean purchases, and a one-year delay on China’s rare earth mineral restrictions.
Reflecting on the Xi meeting at Gimhae Air Base in Busan, Trump boasted to reporters, “I would say on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, I would say the meeting was a 12.”
