Bongino has been a staple voice of the conservative movement for years. Now he’s sharing where he’s going to end up.
And now Dan Bongino teased a huge announcement after leaving the FBI.
Bongino’s Triumphant Return to the Airwaves
Dan Bongino, the former FBI Deputy Director, signaled an energetic comeback to conservative commentary on Monday, outlining ambitious plans after his brief but impactful role in the Trump administration.
Having stepped down from the FBI last month, Bongino continues to champion President Donald Trump’s initiatives, positioning himself as a steadfast guardian of the movement he helped shape.
“I started in this movement as a candidate during the Tea Party movement, and I began my political commentary career shortly thereafter. I helped build this movement and I sure as hell am not going to let it get hijacked by a group of black-pillers, life losers, grifters and bums,” Bongino said.
“We are a movement guided by truth. The essence of conservative ideology is the preservation of eternal truths. We are not the ‘latest thing’ group. We are not political cannibals,” he added.
“I’ve watched quietly from the inside while doing the job I was hired to do, but I’m back now, and it’s time to restore balance to the force.”
In an earlier update that day, Bongino indicated he would soon disclose the precise return date for his show, following some well-deserved family time. He had announced his departure from the bureau on December 17, expressing gratitude to President Trump, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Attorney General Pam Bondi for the chance to contribute. His last day was Saturday, and he parted on positive notes with Trump and Patel.
“This FBI is saving lives, protecting innocent kids, and taking deadly drugs off our streets at levels not seen in decades. None of it would’ve been possible without Dan’s leadership and support. And he paved the way for even better things to come,” Patel said on Sunday.
Championing Foundational Conservative Ideals
Bongino emphasized his dedication to steering conservatism back to its core principles, especially as the 2026 midterm elections approach. He aims to confront those he sees as undermining the movement, drawing on his roots in the Tea Party era to reinforce timeless values.
His pledge to challenge “grifters and bums” aligns with a pivotal time for conservatives, highlighted by events like last month’s Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest.
Addressing Divisions and Forward Momentum
Bongino tackled ongoing tensions within the Right in his Monday post, urging focus on upcoming midterms rather than distractions.
Some rifts have arisen from the administration’s approach to the Epstein investigation, where Bongino, Patel, and Bondi faced scrutiny after determining no client list existed in the files. While not directly referencing the Epstein matter, Bongino stressed the need for unity and action.
“We’ve got midterms coming up, and there’s no time for bullsh*t. This administration is cooking and REAL change simmers. If you’re spending your entire day b*tching and whining with 3/4ths of the term still to go, then please find the exits,” he said.
“There’s no time for it. It’s not ‘infighting’ when you excise a cancer killing the host. It’s ‘outfighting’ because you’re not part of any movement I’m familiar with.”
