The Democrats are in need of some soul-searching. Their party members are quickly becoming disgruntled.
And the Democrat Party has been put on blast by this top Leftist commentator.
Sports broadcaster and podcast host Stephen A. Smith didn’t hold back in a recent episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, declaring he’s done defending the lies of the Democrats after the release of the inspector general’s January 6 report.
The report revealed the FBI had multiple informants in Washington, D.C., during the events of January 6, 2021, including some in the U.S. Capitol.
Smith described the findings as a bombshell, citing details that the FBI had at least 26 informants present on the day of the Capitol riot.
Some of those informants reportedly committed offenses but have yet to face charges—a stark contrast to the hundreds of individuals who have been prosecuted.
“Didn’t hear anything about that before the election,” Smith stated. “Didn’t hear anything about that when the quote unquote ‘insurrection’ was broached by Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic [presidential] nominee. By President Biden before her. By Democrats in both the House and the Senate they articulated that [President-elect] Donald Trump was a danger to democracy and used this as a profound illuminating bullet point to make this case.”
Smith didn’t stop there, calling out the hypocrisy he sees in the political landscape. “And here we are yet again, adding even more evidence to Donald Trump’s claims when he articulated ‘the process is rigged … they are talking about us, but look at what they do,’” he said.
The frustration was palpable as Smith continued, saying he’s “sick and tired” of discovering more instances where Democrats have “lied, downplayed, or misrepresented” the truth.
“You know what I’m getting really p****d off about?!” Smith asked, his tone rising. “I’m getting really ticked off … We can argue politics all day long. But the Democrats worked really, really diligently to make the case that the right had a monopoly on insidious, evil tendencies. Corrupt tendencies. Duplicitous, hypocritical, untruthful tendencies and every time they made those accusations, we turn around and find out that at least some of them are guilty of the same s**t.’ I don’t know about you all, but I’m sick of all of it.”
Smith made it clear that, in his view, Democrats have “made Donald Trump look like he was right instead of them.”
This isn’t the first time the outspoken commentator has criticized the Democratic Party. Smith previously called out President Joe Biden following the controversial pardon of his son, Hunter Biden.
Smith called Biden’s decision to reverse course and issue a sweeping pardon for Hunter’s federal crimes a move that effectively neutered the Democratic Party.
“You were intending to do this all along, which, again, is no problem. But it doesn’t make you any less full of it,” Smith told his listeners. “Because when you look at Donald Trump and how the Democrats went after him, you do understand that the Democrats are no longer in a position to say anything, right?”
He added, “You can talk till the cows come home. You whistling it to the wind. Nobody wants to hear what you have to say right now. I’m not talking about you; I’m talking about your party. Because when you pardon your son, going back on your word, telling the American people there was no way that you were going to pardon him when everybody and their grandmamma knew you were lying, but then hold you accountable for it.”
Smith’s sharp commentary highlights a growing frustration among some Leftist voices who feel misled by the Democrat Party.
Overall, his comments signal a broader conversation about trust, accountability, and hypocrisy among the Left.
