The Left is desperate to try and hang onto the U.S. Senate this election season. They’re in real danger losing both chambers of Congress.
And this Democrat Senator’s reelection chances are toast after he was exposed for this disgusting act.
Election season is in full swing for politicians who are fighting to get elected or reelected.
Now is the time for them to be careful with how they strategize in beating their opponent. One minor slip-up could cost you the election.
But one Senate Democrat found that lesson out the hard way after he was exposed for one truly awful thing.
Senator Tester Praises Controversial Poster Depicting Trump’s Death
In his 2020 book, Grounded: A Rural Democrat’s Fight to Unite America, Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) reflects on a controversial moment from his 2018 reelection campaign.
The controversy centered around a Pearl Jam concert poster designed for a get-out-the-vote event supporting Tester.
The poster depicted a graphic image of former President Donald Trump dead, with an American bald eagle feasting on his remains. Tester, a close friend of Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament, who created the artwork, found himself at the center of the storm.
While Tester’s campaign eventually distanced itself from the poster, it took action only after the media spotlight intensified the controversy. Notably, Tester himself did not personally disavow the imagery, even weeks after it became public.
Despite his campaign’s formal condemnation of the violent imagery, Tester expressed an appreciation for the artwork in his book. According to the Washington Examiner, Tester “actually loved” the Pearl Jam poster.
He recounted in Grounded how fans eagerly lined up to buy the posters at $35 each, with one notable image portraying Tester himself flying on a tractor above flames, waving with his distinctive two-fingered left hand.
Tester wrote about his reaction to the poster, stating, “‘This is so … interesting,’ I told Christie. Though the poster was off-message, I didn’t want to admit to her that I actually loved it.
None of us knew about the posters before we saw them on sale at the concert.” He went on to describe the “big news” as the artwork, not the concert itself.
The revelation of Tester’s admiration for the violent, anti-Trump artwork comes amidst heightened tensions following a recent shooting involving former President Trump.
Tester expressed his dismay over the violence, writing that he “was appalled by the violence at the political rally” and called for an investigation into the incident.
This isn’t the first time Tester has been associated with aggressive rhetoric towards Trump. In 2019, he remarked that the best way to confront the former president was to “punch him in the face.”
Tester elaborated, saying, “I don’t think, even in states where Donald Trump won big, that it does you any good running away from Donald Trump. I think you need to go back and punch him in the face. I mean, the truth is this guy is bad for this country.”
Mike Berg, a spokesman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), criticized Tester’s comments, stating, “Tester’s violent rhetoric toward President Trump is sick.”\
