Trump is ready to fix things at the southern border. His solution will be one that is talked about for years to come.
And Democrats are speechless after hearing about Donald Trump’s plan to finally solve the illegal immigration crisis.
President-elect Donald Trump took to Truth Social early Monday morning to confirm his administration’s plans to declare a national emergency and utilize military resources to initiate a sweeping deportation of illegal immigrants.
The announcement came as a direct response to a post by Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch and a prominent conservative commentator.
“GOOD NEWS: Reports are the incoming @RealDonaldTrump administration prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program,” Fitton posted.
“TRUE!!” Trump replied, quoting Fitton’s post and leaving no room for ambiguity about his intentions.
Trump’s pledge to deport illegal immigrants residing in the United States was a cornerstone of his campaign platform, resonating strongly with his base.
According to a previous report by the Washington Examiner, the president-elect promised to “deport more illegal immigrants from the United States than any of his predecessors.”
To spearhead this initiative, Trump named Tom Homan, former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as the administration’s “border czar.”
Homan, a vocal advocate for stricter immigration enforcement, outlined the administration’s priorities during recent appearances:
“President Trump’s been clear; public safety threats and national security threats will be the priority because they have to be. They pose the most danger to this country,” Homan said, emphasizing that his focus would be on individuals who have defied deportation orders issued by federal immigration judges.
Homan elaborated on this strategy, explaining that enforcing these orders was critical to upholding the rule of law. “We’re going to prioritize those groups, those who already have final orders, those that had due process at great taxpayer expense, and the federal judge says you must go home. And that didn’t. They became a fugitive,” he stated.
While Homan acknowledged opposition to the proposed mass deportations, he maintained that the law still needs to be enforced.
“As far as the people want to push back on deporting these people, what is the option? You have a right to claim asylum,” Homan said during a segment on Fox & Friends.
“You have a right to see a judge, and we make that happen, but at the end of that due process, when the judge says, ‘You must go home,’ then we have to take them home because if we’re not, what the hell are we doing?”
Reports estimate that approximately 1.3 million illegal immigrants currently in the United States have defied final deportation orders.
Homan cited these figures, which were reported by The Wall Street Journal, to underline the scale of the challenge and the administration’s commitment to addressing it.
As the transition to a Trump administration nears, these statements indicate a decisive approach to immigration enforcement.
And Donald Trump and his allies are clearly not messing around when it comes to solving this illegal immigration crisis that’s been left to them by the Biden/Harris administration.
