Trump keeps reeling in the wins. Momentum is clearly on his side.
And Donald Trump just received a surprise victory that no one saw coming.
President-elect Donald Trump, 78, was honored with the “Patriot of the Year” award on Thursday during Fox Nation’s annual Patriot Awards, held at the Tilles Center for Performing Arts in Brookville, New York.
The award, fashioned to resemble the American flag, was presented after a live rendition of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” a signature anthem for Trump during his campaign appearances.

In his acceptance speech, Trump reflected on his hard-fought campaign and suggested that his victory over Vice President Kamala Harris is already driving significant change.
“We had such a spectacular election,” Trump remarked as he addressed the crowd. “It was a tremendous day, a tremendous night, a tremendous period of time,” he said, recounting his relentless efforts, including “72 days” without rest leading up to Election Day.
The president-elect expressed optimism for the nation’s future, stating, “I think you have seen more happen in the last two weeks than you’ve seen in the last four years, and we’re not even there yet,” before reiterating his signature promise: “We’re going to make America great again.”
"We're going to be very proud of our country again."

The Patriot Awards, now in their sixth year, celebrate inspiring individuals, including military veterans, first responders, and other everyday heroes. Among this year’s honorees was Stephanie Diller, widow of slain NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller.

The ceremony drew a crowd of about 2,000 attendees, many dressed in formal attire adorned with American flags and “Make America Great Again” merchandise.
Fox News host Sean Hannity served as the evening’s emcee, praising the event’s unique focus on unsung heroes.
“What I love about it is unlike, say, the Oscars or the Grammys or the Tonys, this honors the men and women that really do make the country great every day, unsung heroes and real patriots. They never get any recognition,” Hannity said in an interview with Fox News Digital.
The ceremony featured awards for categories such as bravery, courage, and service to veterans, with Fox News personalities like Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham, and Judge Jeanine Pirro serving as presenters.
Trump, who has largely stayed out of the public eye since his Election Day victory, has been busy assembling his incoming administration from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
This week, he made a rare appearance at a memorial service for fallen deputies of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Looking ahead, Trump announced plans to travel to Paris on Saturday to celebrate the grand reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, which suffered severe damage in a 2019 fire during his first term.
Earlier this week, he expressed excitement about receiving the Patriot of the Year honor, posting on Truth Social that the recognition was “so nice!”
