Trump has a very good shot to win the Republican nomination. But those odds might change.
And Donald Trump’s presidential campaign receives ground-breaking news.
The U.S. House has had a makeover in the past few months.
Back in October, eight Republicans led by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) voted to oust then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
Options for McCarthy’s replacement included Reps. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and Jim Jordan (R-OH).
And while those two couldn’t get enough votes to win the gavel, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) was able to swoop in and win the speakership.
While many Republicans are looking for Johnson to help lead them in their endeavors in the lower chamber of Congress, they’re also wondering who he’ll get behind for president in 2024.
Johnson, a known Trump ally, made it well known in an appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box, that he fully supports former President Donald Trump in next year’s presidential election.
“I have endorsed him wholeheartedly,” the speaker of the House said.
“Look, I was one of the closest allies President Trump had in Congress. He had a phenomenal first term. Those first two years, as you all know, we brought about the greatest economic numbers in the world and not just the country because his policies worked, and I am all-in for Trump.”
“I expect he will be our nominee, and he will win it, and we have to make Biden a one-term president. We have to do that,” Johnson added.

Donald Trump is currently at 58.6% in the Republican primary polls according to FiveThirtyEight.
His next closest competitor is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) who sits at 14.1%.
Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) recently dropped out of the running, which will thin out the field some, allowing for leaders like Trump or DeSantis to take his voters.
But an endorsement from the current Republican House speaker, is sure to boost Trump in the polls even further.
And with the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primaries occurring right after the New Year, an endorsement like Johnson’s, is sure to make the other Republicans in the race envious.
Mike Johnson has also been under heavy criticism from the Left-wing media for his strong conservative and Christian views. Anytime the Leftist media criticizes a conservative for their values, it’s basically an endorsement in and of itself.
And that only makes Johnson’s support even more credible for Trump and his prospective voters who are hoping the former president can win back the White House and replace President Joe Biden.
