Terror has struck America. Dark times certainly loom over this country.
And the FBI leader announced an investigation into this deadly terror attack.
FBI Director Kash Patel wasted no time in calling out the deadly rampage at Old Dominion University for what it truly is.
He announced the investigation via an X post, stating the attack qualifies as terrorism:
“Earlier today, an armed individual opened fire at Old Dominion University, leaving one person dead and two others wounded. The shooter is now deceased thanks to a group of brave students who stepped in and subdued him – actions that undoubtedly saved lives along with the quick response of law enforcement.”
“The FBI is now investigating the shooting as an act of terrorism. Our Joint Terrorism Task Force is fully engaged, embedded with local authorities, and providing all resources necessary in the investigation.”
Those courageous students who risked everything to stop the k*ller deserve the nation’s thanks for their heroism.
Combined with fast-acting police, they prevented even greater loss of life.
Now details about the shooter are emerging, painting a disturbing picture.
The attacker was 36-year-old Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, identified as a former member of the National Guard, according to Breitbart News.
The outlet reported that this same man had been convicted of supporting ISIS years earlier.
Per Breitbart News, back on July 3, 2016, authorities arrested him “for attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.”
By 2017, a court found him guilty and handed down an 11-year prison term.
Yet somehow he was free to carry out this assault on American soil.
As noted by Right Line News’s Eric Daugherty, Jalloh arrived here as a “migrant from western Africa.”
Time after time these attacks expose the deadly risks of failing to secure our borders and screen those entering our nation.
