Politicians like to go on TV and stroke their egos. But sometimes it goes sideways.

And this Fox News host went rogue to tell a Democrat the hard-to-swallow truth they never wanted to hear.

Fox News Host Tells Democrat They Got “Snookered” On Joe Biden Lies

The slow drip of revelations about Joe Biden’s health during his presidency has exposed a troubling question: were Democrats willfully blind to his decline, or were they so entrenched in power that they orchestrated a cover-up? Fox News host Harris Faulkner recently confronted former Democratic Rep. Pat Murphy of Pennsylvania, pressing him on the party’s apparent dismissal of Biden’s fading faculties. Her pointed exchange laid bare a deeper issue—whether Democrats were complicit in hiding the truth or simply too naive to see it.

Books like “Original Sin” have begun peeling back the curtain, detailing Biden’s cognitive struggles with stark clarity. One anecdote claims he failed to recognize George Clooney, an Academy Award-winning actor and longtime Democratic ally. These accounts align with murmurs that grew louder as Biden’s term progressed, murmurs that Democrats either ignored or suppressed. GOPAC Chairman David Avella, during the same Fox News segment, noted that some Democrats who once downplayed these concerns are now cashing in on tell-all books, their newfound candor conveniently timed after the Nov. 5, 2024, election.

Murphy’s response was telling, if not evasive. “If we go back to [2020], I was actually for secretary Pete [Buttigieg]. He won actually Iowa. He came in second in New Hampshire,” he said. “He was on a roll, but covid hit and shut down everything and they wanted a steady hand who was the vice president earlier. But to your point, I think it is honestly less conspiracy theory and more people who were frankly either being too gracious or frankly, just trying to hold on to power.” His attempt to frame the issue as a mix of kindness and pragmatism rang hollow, suggesting either a refusal to admit the obvious or a calculated dodge.

Faulkner wasn’t buying it. “Look, this is politics,” she shot back. “It’s a blood sport. You’re a kind soul, but come on, do you think they were just trying to be nice and they weren’t-” Her interruption cut to the core: politics rewards ruthlessness, not charity. The idea that Democrats were merely “gracious” in overlooking Biden’s decline strains credulity when power was at stake. The Wall Street Journal’s Dec. 19, 2024, report further eroded this narrative, revealing how White House aides “insulated” Biden, shielding him even from Cabinet members as his health and mental sharpness waned.

Murphy tried to deflect again, insisting, “No, I’m saying there were people in the inner circle in both parties that were-” But Faulkner, leaning on his military background, pressed harder: “You were in the military. I know you were a warrior. You can’t be snookered like that. You have to see the truth.” Her challenge exposed the flimsiness of Murphy’s stance. Was he truly so gullible as to miss the signs, or was he protecting a party line that had long since crumbled? His insistence that it wasn’t a “conspiracy theory” only deepened the skepticism, as Faulkner’s curt “All right” signaled her exasperation.

The evidence of Biden’s struggles was not subtle. He repeatedly claimed to have spoken with long-deceased figures, including former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, who died in 2017, and former French President Francois Mitterrand, who passed in 1996, during speeches in February 2024. At a September 2022 White House event on hunger, Biden asked for Rep. Jackie Walorski, seemingly unaware she had died weeks earlier in a car accident. These weren’t isolated gaffes but part of a pattern that Democrats either failed to acknowledge or actively minimized.

Physical signs were equally hard to ignore. Biden’s multiple falls—on his bike in June 2022, at the Air Force Academy in June 2023, and multiple stumbles on Air Force One’s steps—prompted the administration to switch to a shorter staircase for the VC-25 aircraft. Yet, even as these accommodations were made, the White House’s public stance remained one of deflection, with aides and allies brushing off concerns as ageist or exaggerated. The media, too, often played along, with some outlets pushing back on early reports of Biden’s decline until the truth became undeniable.

The question lingers: did Democrats genuinely believe Biden was fit to lead, or were they so desperate to cling to power that they propped up a faltering figurehead? Murphy’s equivocations suggest a party caught between denial and self-preservation, unwilling to confront the reality of their leader’s limitations. The books now flooding the market, written by insiders who once stayed silent, point to a more cynical possibility—that many knew the truth but chose to play along until the political winds shifted.

The Democrats’ handling of Biden’s decline—whether through ignorance or calculation—has left a stain on their credibility, one that no amount of post-election tell-alls can fully erase. The truth was there for those willing to see it, but too many chose to look away.
