Harris suspected of breaking a major law that could put her behind bars

Vice President Harris wants everyone to think she follows the law perfectly. But that’s simply not the case.

As Harris has been suspected of breaking a major law that could put her behind bars.

Vice President Kamala Harris revealed during a “60 Minutes” interview on Monday that she owns a Glock handgun, sparking controversy and allegations of hypocrisy due to her past support for firearm restrictions. The revelation has also raised questions about her compliance with current gun-control regulations.

“I have a Glock and I’ve had it for quite some time,” Harris shared with CBS correspondent Bill Whitaker. The 59-year-old vice president added, “My background is in law enforcement, so there you go.”

When asked whether she had fired the weapon, Harris chuckled and replied, “Yes, of course I have, at a shooting range—yes, of course, I have.”

Harris’ previous support for handgun bans, particularly during her time as San Francisco district attorney and her tenure in federal office since 2017, has fueled criticism. During her time as district attorney from 2004 to 2011, Harris backed measures aimed at curbing gun ownership in San Francisco, and she continued to support gun control initiatives after moving to Washington.

California requires prospective gun owners to obtain a Firearm Safety Certificate, and Washington, D.C., mandates registration for all handguns. Additionally, D.C. law restricts magazine capacities for Glocks to 10 rounds, whereas many Glock models come with standard magazines that exceed this limit.

Critics were quick to pounce on the apparent contradictions. Mike Davis, a former clerk for Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, posted on X, “DC residents have to register their firearms. And DC issues a gun-registration ID card for each firearm, with the make, model, and serial number. Post your card, Kamala.”

Davis also questioned whether Harris had followed the necessary regulations, asking, “Maybe Kamala left her Glock in California? Does she have her firearm safety certificate?”

Country music star John Rich also weighed in, highlighting the inconsistency between Harris’ stance on gun control and her Glock ownership.

“Kamala says she owns a Glock,” Rich said in a post on X. “She was also in favor of banning what she called ‘high capacity magazines’ which is anything over 7 rounds. Every Glock magazine holds at least ten rounds, and most hold more than 15. She’s a joke with endless punchlines.”

Harris’ past support for handgun bans has fueled the skepticism surrounding her recent claim. In 2005, she supported Proposition H, a San Francisco ballot initiative aimed at banning handguns in the city.

Three years later, as San Francisco’s district attorney, Harris signed an amicus brief supporting Washington, D.C.’s handgun ban in the District of Columbia v. Heller case, a landmark decision that led to the Supreme Court striking down the ban.

Kamala Harris’s Constant Lies Call Her Gun Ownership Into Question

Some critics have even questioned whether Harris truly owns the Glock, given past allegations that she exaggerated other aspects of her biography.

After former President Trump accused her of lying about working at McDonald’s during college, conservative commentator Dana Loesch questioned the authenticity of her claim.

“She doesn’t [have a gun], and she doesn’t even know there are different models, either,” Loesch wrote.

It’s clear: Harris has been known to exaggerate and lie in the past and it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility that she’s lying about owning a firearm in order to appeal to gun owners.

But unfortunately for her, people with even half an ounce of common sense can see right through her lies and her poor attempt to win over the votes of those who own a firearm.
