Clinton is still heavily involved in politics. But most Americans wish she’d simply go away.
And Hillary Clinton has egg on her face after being exposed for this embarrassing act.
Hillary Clinton Faces Backlash Over Trump Jet Deal Criticism
Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State, sparked controversy with a pointed critique of President Donald Trump’s administration, accusing it of engaging in a pay-for-play scheme tied to reports that Qatar is offering a luxurious Boeing 747 jet at no cost to serve as a temporary replacement for Air Force One. In a post on X, Clinton wrote, “No one gives someone a $400 million dollar jet for free without expecting anything in return. Be serious.”

The remarks follow reports from ABC News, citing “sources familiar with the proposed arrangement,” that the Trump administration is negotiating “to accept” the opulent jet, often described as “a flying palace.”
The aircraft would “initially be transferred to the United States Air Force,” which would modify the 13-year-old plane to meet stringent military standards required for presidential transport. According to sources, the jet’s ownership would shift to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation by January 1, 2029, with the U.S. Air Force covering all associated transfer costs.
Trump himself addressed the deal on Truth Social, calling the jet a “GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE” from Qatar and describing the arrangement as a “very public and transparent transaction” that has unsettled Democrats. The president’s comments have only fueled the debate, with critics questioning the motives behind Qatar’s offer.
Clinton’s criticism, however, has drawn sharp rebuttals, with many pointing to her own history with foreign donations. Social media erupted with responses highlighting the Clinton Foundation’s acceptance of substantial contributions from nations, including Qatar, during her tenure as Secretary of State.
Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) fired back on X, writing, “Cry me a river @HillaryClinton. Tell that to the mega-donors, including Qatar, who gave hundreds of millions of $$ to the Clinton Foundation. Didn’t seem to bother you then.”

Investigative journalist Jerry Dunleavy, with Just The News, referenced a Reuters report revealing that the Clinton Foundation accepted a $1 million gift from Qatar while Clinton was in office, asking, “What did Qatar want from you?”

Breitbart News’ Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle also chimed in, stating, “Oh you would know how it works wouldn’t you?” Another user echoed Clinton’s own words, writing, “Nobody donates millions to the Clinton Foundation without expecting something in return. Be serious.”

The controversy has reignited scrutiny of the Clinton Foundation’s financial ties, detailed in Peter Schweizer’s book Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich. The book exposed how hundreds of millions of dollars flowed into the foundation from foreign entities during Clinton’s time as Secretary of State.
Subsequent reporting by outlets like the New York Times, Huffington Post, and New York Magazine uncovered additional details, such as the Clintons earning at least $3.4 million for 18 speeches funded by banks tied to the Keystone Pipeline and allegations that the foundation pressured a charity watchdog group.
Amid the uproar, Qatar’s Media Attaché to the U.S., Ali Al-Ansari, issued a statement calling the reports of the jet deal “inaccurate.” He clarified that the “possible transfer” of an aircraft for temporary use as Air Force One is under review by Qatar’s Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense, with no final decision made. “The matter remains under review by the respective legal departments,” Al-Ansari said.
As discussions about the jet continue, the clash between Clinton and her critics highlights the persistent tensions surrounding transparency and influence in American politics, with both sides accusing the other of exploiting foreign connections for personal gain.
