Harris has had a rough time lately. Nothing seems to be going her way.
And Kamala Harris fell flat on her face after making a humiliating post on social media.
On July 21, former Vice President Kamala Harris took to X to mark the one-year anniversary of her 2024 presidential campaign, which began after President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the race on the same day in 2024. Biden’s quick endorsement propelled Harris to the Democratic nomination, launching a high-stakes but ultimately unsuccessful run against President Donald Trump.
In her X post, Harris shared campaign trail photos, capturing the energy of her 107-day nationwide journey. “One year ago today, I began my campaign for President of the United States. Over the 107 days of our race, I had the opportunity and honor to travel our nation and meet with Americans who were fighting for a better future,” she wrote.
“And today, millions of Americans continue to stand up for our values, our ideals, and our democracy. Their courage and resolve inspires me. Whether you are attending a protest, calling your representatives, or building community, I want to say: Thank you. We are in this fight together.”

Intended as a tribute to her supporters’ activism, the post instead drew sharp criticism and mockery online. Some noted Harris’ failure to mention Biden in either the text or photos, interpreting it as an attempt to distance herself from his administration.
“You didn’t get a single primary vote. How very democratic,” wrote Amy Curtis of Twitchy, pointing to Harris’ nomination without a primary contest.
The RNC Research account, run by the Republican National Committee, jabbed, “Becoming the presidential nominee without getting a single vote is not the flex you think it is.”

Political commentator Link Lauren added, “No mention of Biden again. Really trying to erase her association with him. She was there in lockstep with that failing administration. I don’t have amnesia.”
Others leaned into sarcasm. National Review’s Dan McLaughlin quipped, “I wonder what caused that campaign to begin on July 21,” referencing Biden’s sudden exit.
Author John Hawkins piled on, writing, “One year ago today, I began my campaign for President of the United States.’ Oh wow, I remember that. What did Drew Barrymore call you? Momala? Oooh, and Beyonce endorsed you, right? How did you work out? Did you win?”

Townhall.com’s Kurt Schlichter was blunt: “Your failure and reputation were complete.”
The Washington Free Beacon’s Chuck Ross joined the critique, joking, “lol. complete Joe Biden erasure.” The omission of Biden fueled speculation that Harris was attempting to reframe her public image after losing to Trump in November 2024.
Federal Election Commission filings revealed the Harris campaign spent over $1 billion in three months, with funds allocated to celebrity influencers, activist groups, and private jets, drawing further scrutiny.
While Harris aimed to celebrate the ongoing efforts of Americans she met on the campaign trail, the online response highlighted a divide. Critics used the moment to spotlight her campaign’s many missteps that led to her brutal election defeat to Donald Trump.
