Democrats have humiliated themselves in the past. But this takes the cake.

And these Leftist congresswomen were blasted online for posting this shockingly embarrassing video.

A quirky promotional video showcasing a lineup of female Democratic House members in mock combat poses—set to music from the video game, Super Smash Brothers–landed with a thud, drawing sharp rebukes from onlookers.

Originally shared on TikTok by influencer Sulhee Jessica Woo, the clip featured several lawmakers flexing their political muscles alongside quirky personal stats, but it failed to win over the crowd.

The video kicks off with Woo herself, who added digital angel wings to her image and listed her credentials as “bento box queen; mommy of the century; sleep deprived.” She tagged the post with “#womenshistorymonth, #womenwhofight, #fighter, #savedemocracy, and #girlpower,” setting the tone for what followed.

Each Democratic representative then took the spotlight, shadowboxing or striking poses while their stats flashed on screen.

First up was Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), touted as representing “New York’s 14th Congressional District; youngest women + Latina to be elected to the House; Trekkie.”

Next, Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-IL) stepped in, billed as the “youngest black woman ever elected to Congress; cofounded the black maternal office,” as well as a quirky note that she “hates balloons.”

Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA), the House Minority Whip, followed, tied to “Massachusetts’ 5th Congressional District” and described as someone who’s “not into hair dye.”

Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) earned the label “too sweet,” alongside her historic title as the “first Chinese-American woman elected to Congress.” Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) brought her own flair with “Texas’ 30th Congressional District; Public defender + attorney; not a morning person.”

Closing out the roster was Rep. Susie Lee (D-NV), who reps “Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District,” leads as “President of Communities in Schools of Nevada,” and, oddly, sports “2 sprained fingers.”

Despite the playful vibe, the reception on X was anything but warm. Critics pounced, turning the video into a punching bag of its own. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) fired back with a sarcastic nod to clown college enrollment.

Mark Hemingway quipped, “I literally wrote a piece this morning headlined, ‘Democrats’ Biggest Problem Right Now Is That They Are Out Of Touch And Uncool.’ I rest my case.”

Sean Spicer, former White House Press Secretary, could only muster an exasperated “Oh my goodness.” Another user pleaded, “Why can’t they just be normal?” Tom Bevan chimed in, “This is nuts. Dems are getting terrible political advice. As @elonmusk says, this is not rocket science. It’s politics 101 — and the Dems are failing.”

The pile-on continued. Jim Hanson remarked, “The Democrats have ceased to be anything more than performative activism by unserious people.” CNN’s Scott Jennings questioned reality itself, posting, “This cannot possibly be real.” Shermichael Singleton took a jab, “Choose your character? Lmao, just know if you choose any of these characters, you’re about to get your butt kicked. I’m just saying…”

Olivia Rondeau went nuclear, declaring, “Alright repeal the 19th,” a cheeky nod to the amendment granting women’s suffrage. David Marcus wrapped it up with a philosophical twist: “This is at a level of abject absurdity that always makes me think I must be missing something, that it can’t just be what it is. But sometimes a pipe is just a pipe.”

What started as a lighthearted flex of girl power ended up as a digital piñata, proving that even in politics, not every swing connects.
