Melania has been rather quite over the last several years. But now she’s finally speaking out in a big way.

And Melania Trump just revealed the secret weapon that helped Donald Trump win the election.

Incoming first lady Melania Trump recently shared insights into her son Barron Trump’s adjustment to life as a college student while her husband, President-elect Donald Trump, readies himself for a return to the White House.

In her first interview following the 2024 election, Melania acknowledged that Barron, a freshman at New York University, faces an atypical college experience due to his father’s position and the ever-present Secret Service detail.

“His experience at college, it’s very different than any other kid,” she said to Fox News. “I’m very proud of how he’s handling, he’s very strong, and he knows that he’s in a different position than other children. I just say, ‘Make your dreams come true. This is your road, this is your life, and make sure that you listen yourself and your likes and dislikes.’”

Melania also expressed pride in her son’s contributions to his father’s campaign, highlighting Barron’s ability to connect with younger voters.

The 18-year-old reached out to influencers such as Adin Ross, a popular gamer and internet personality, to help attract a younger audience.

“I’m very proud of him about his knowledge, even about politics, and giving an advice to his father,” she said. “He brought in so many young people. He knows his generation because nowadays the young generation, they don’t sit in front of TV anymore. They are all on the tablets. Their phones and all of these podcasts and streamers.”

Melania credited Barron’s understanding of modern media for helping shape campaign strategies. “He was very vocal, and he gave advice to his father and was incredible how he brought in a success because he knew exactly who he, his father, needs to contact and to talk to,” she added.

As the Trumps prepare for their second stint in the White House, Melania reflected on the differences between the current transition and their first in 2016.

She described the earlier process as “challenging” due to limited access to the White House at the time, contrasting it with the smoother handoff they are experiencing now.

“This time, it is very different because we already know where we are going and we have all of the plans from before. So we don’t need to go back in,” she said. “My team is in contact with the White House, so that’s a plus, but we have all what we need. So this is the second time. So it’s nothing new.”

The incoming first lady also shared that she has been busy establishing her transition team and office, as well as organizing the family’s move.

“I know what you need to establish, you know what kind of people you need to hire that, to be in your office, so that’s what I’m doing now,” Mrs. Trump explained.

“I’m interviewing people for my office. I’m establishing everything what it needs so we could start on day one, everybody is in, and we start working.”

Reflecting on her husband’s historic win, which marked the first time a Republican has secured the popular vote since George W. Bush in 2004, Melania commented on the enthusiasm of their supporters.

“I see that the country and the people who really support a team and they support him, his focus to make this country great again, and his patriotism, it’s incredible and his hard work as well,” she stated.

“I hope the country will be united, and that’s what we all hope for, and, you know, I’m always against violence. I think nothing is accomplished with the violence.”

As Melania balances her roles as a mother and the incoming first lady, her reflections offer a glimpse into the Trump family’s journey back to Washington, D.C., and the road ahead.
