Nancy Pelosi couldn’t believe her ears after what this fellow Democrat said about her

Pelosi is quickly losing popularity within the Democrat Party. Leftists are starting to turn on her more and more.

And Nancy Pelosi couldn’t believe her ears after what this fellow Democrat said about her.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has publicly rebuked Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) after she attributed the Democratic Party’s recent election losses to President Joe Biden. The fallout comes in the wake of a decisive victory for President-elect Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris in the November 5 election.

Pelosi, who has been a dominant figure in Democratic politics for decades, quickly pointed to Biden as the source of the party’s disappointing performance. But Fetterman disagreed, taking aim at Pelosi’s leadership during an interview with Politico published Thursday.

“People like Pelosi, she really tried to — what’s the word I’m looking for? — she embraced this ‘She’s the godmother, she’s the enforcer.’ And now she’s blaming Biden,” Fetterman remarked. “Well, you can’t have it both ways. You got what you wanted, and now you’re still blaming Biden.”

Pelosi, who first entered politics in California, rose to prominence as Speaker of the House in 2007 and returned to the role in 2019 before stepping aside in 2022 after Republicans reclaimed the majority.

Despite relinquishing the gavel, Pelosi has retained her influence as a senior figure in the House.

Earlier this year, she was among those urging Biden to reconsider his reelection campaign, despite her earlier support for his second-term bid.

Last year, Pelosi downplayed concerns about Biden’s age, dismissing them as “sidebar stuff.” She publicly praised his leadership and voiced enthusiasm for his reelection plans after his announcement in April 2023.

However, her tone shifted during the summer, with less vocal support for Biden as Democrats faced mounting challenges.

Fetterman, who has emerged as a prominent internal critic within the Democratic Party, didn’t hold back in questioning Pelosi’s continued presence in Congress. He criticized her decision to file for a 21st term in the House, saying it was time for a generational shift.

“I think it’s really ironic that you have a woman at age 84 and she is still hanging on,” Fetterman said. “Why not give a younger generation an opportunity to occupy that seat?”

Fetterman’s critique extends beyond Pelosi to the broader Democratic leadership, particularly Vice President Harris, whose unsuccessful presidential campaign he has scrutinized.

Over the fall, Fetterman warned that Trump was gaining ground in Pennsylvania, a state crucial to his 2024 victory.

Post-election, he has been vocal about the party’s struggles to connect with male voters and criticized Harris’s decision not to appear on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast—a move he believes alienated a key demographic.

“We have a challenge,” Fetterman said in a Semafor interview. “We have our own kind of ‘childless cat ladies’ situation: ‘Bros.’ People refer to these young guys as bros, and clearly that’s not a positive term.”

Reflecting on the missed opportunity, Fetterman expressed frustration with the campaign strategy. “Forty-two million people witnessed the Trump interview [with Rogan]. The power that the platform that he created — to ignore that, I can’t imagine why anyone would do that,” he said.

Fetterman’s critiques highlight growing tensions within the Democratic Party as it looks to recover from significant losses and rebuild its appeal ahead of future elections.

His call for fresh leadership and a shift in strategy emphasizes the challenges the party faces as it struggles with moving on from older leadership like Nancy Pelosi.
