Pelosi just announced her retirement. But now everything is coming out.

Because Nancy Pelosi’s secrets on how she got rich were exposed for all to see.

Pelosi to Retire in 2027 After Wealth Soars 2,292% on Capitol Hill

Outgoing House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) confirmed Thursday she will leave Congress in 2027, capping a 37-year career during which her minimum net worth exploded from $2.7 million to at least $64 million—more than 22 times her starting figure—almost entirely through stock trades executed by her husband.

From $2.7 Million to $278 Million While Writing the Rules

A Daily Caller News Foundation review of Pelosi’s mandatory financial disclosures shows her minimum net worth stood at $2,675,036 when she was sworn in for her first term in 1987.

By 2024 it had ballooned to $63,996,050, with a maximum disclosed value of $311,443,000.

Quiver Quantitative, which tracks congressional trades, pegs the 85-year-old lawmaker’s current fortune at roughly $278.8 million.

In 2024 alone, Pelosi’s portfolio nearly doubled the S&P 500’s return, reigniting long-standing accusations that well-timed trades by her venture-capitalist husband Paul benefited from non-public briefings only a Speaker has access to.

Pelosi’s office continues to insist she “does not personally own any stocks” and has “no prior knowledge or subsequent involvement” in the transactions.

Sudden Conversion to Stock-Trading Ban—One Day After Trump Calls for Probe

On the very day in July that President Trump publicly demanded a criminal investigation into Pelosi’s trading pattern, the California Democrat abruptly endorsed Republican-led legislation to ban members of Congress, presidents, and vice presidents from trading individual stocks.

“We must have strong transparency, robust accountability and tough enforcement for financial conduct in office because the American people deserve confidence that their elected leaders are serving the public interest—not their personal portfolios,” Pelosi declared in a written statement.

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee advanced the bipartisan bill just 48 hours later, on July 30.

Pelosi’s office did not respond to repeated requests for comment on the timing of her reversal or on the source of her family’s nine-figure gains.
