Democrats can’t bare the fact that Trump may be the next president. That’s why they have a diabolical scheme in the works.
And this Republican senator issued a stark warning about the Left’s plan to take down Donald Trump for good.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) made a striking prediction while campaigning for Donald Trump in Allentown, Pennsylvania, suggesting that if Trump returns to the White House, Democrats will swiftly move to impeach him for a third time.
“I predict that if they have the votes in the House, they’re gonna start impeachment proceedings the day after he walks into the White House,” Rubio said during a speech on Monday. “That’s how deranged they’ve become about it.”
Rubio was referencing the two previous impeachments Trump faced during his first term. The Democratic-controlled House impeached Trump in 2019 on allegations of pressuring Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election and again in 2021 following the Capitol riot on January 6.
However, Trump was acquitted in both cases by the Senate, although more Republican senators, including Pennsylvania’s Pat Toomey, supported conviction during the second impeachment than the first.
Rubio’s remarks came as he stumped for Republican candidate Dave McCormick, an Army veteran and former hedge-fund executive, who is aiming to unseat Democratic Sen. Bob Casey in Pennsylvania’s upcoming Senate race.
The senator framed Pennsylvania as the kind of battleground state Florida used to be, noting that his home state has shifted more firmly into Republican control over the last decade, while Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes remain competitive.
He stressed the importance of a McCormick victory to Trump’s potential second term, pointing out that gaining a Republican Senate would be crucial for Trump’s success.
“Donald Trump becoming president without a Republican Senate is self-defeating,” Rubio warned. “He won’t get a single person in his cabinet confirmed by those guys, not one.”
After Rubio’s introduction, McCormick took the stage and portrayed Casey as a career politician, highlighting the longevity of Casey’s political career by joking that when he was first elected in 1996, Los Del Río’s “Macarena” was at the top of the charts.
Although polls have shown Casey with a slight lead, McCormick is closing the gap. Speaking confidently to the crowd, McCormick compared the race to a wrestling match, saying that he knows how to win when the stakes are high.
“I always knew the following: If I could get into the third period within a point or two, I’d win,” said McCormick, a former West Point wrestler. “The reason is because the third period doesn’t have anything to do with wrestling. It’s about a desire to win that is consuming.”
Democrats Are Getting Desperate As Election Nears
Marco Rubio is right. If Democrats are able to take control of the House, then they’ll absolutely try and impeach Donald Trump, should he win reelection in November.
However, the Left would also need votes in the Senate in order to actually impeach Trump. As it currently stands, Democrats are poised to lose the Senate this fall, but regardless, it will be close to see who gains control of the upper chamber of Congress.
But it’s obvious that impeachment would be the next best option for the Democrats should Trump defeat Kamala Harris.
They’ve already tried to use legal warfare to take him out but the former president stood strong.
Now, as Rubio suggests, impeachment is their back up plan, and there’s not doubt they won’t consider going in that direction.
