Republicans are going pale after Biden moves to declare a state of emergency

There gears moving behind the scenes that are starting to show. And it could change everything.

Because Republicans are going pale after Biden moved to declare a state of emergency.

John Kerry, the failed Democratic presidential candidate and Biden’s former Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, is back at it, pushing for sweeping policies that would further burden Americans. Late last week, Kerry called for a **climate emergency declaration**, suggesting Americans need to radically change their behavior for the sake of his agenda.

Speaking on Thursday at the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum after the conclusion of the 29th United Nations climate conference (COP29), Kerry amped up his rhetoric.

“I think, personally, we’re on the brink of needing to declare a climate emergency, which is what we really have,” Kerry proclaimed. “And we need to get people to behave as if this really is a major transitional challenge to the whole planet, to everybody.”

Translation? More government overreach and more policies targeting everyday Americans, while elites like Kerry continue flying private jets to climate conferences.

Kerry didn’t stop there. He argued that the United States has a responsibility to pay for Africa’s energy infrastructure, ignoring that Americans are already struggling with inflation and energy costs.

“People in Africa who don’t have electricity need to choose the right kind of electricity and we need to help them be able to afford it and do it,” Kerry said.

“We have the largest economy in the world — $24 trillion or $23 trillion economy, maybe more by now.”

Of course, Kerry conveniently ignored that U.S. taxpayers already shoulder enormous costs for global initiatives, many of which fail to deliver real results.

Kerry continued: “The next closest is China at about $18 trillion. And, the next closest to the two of us — Germany and Japan at $4 trillion. That’s how far it drops down. You don’t think we have some sort of obligation out of that to be responsible? I think we do.”

Responsible to whom, exactly? Kerry seems more concerned with appeasing global bureaucrats than protecting American jobs or resources.

Kerry argued the U.S. needs “to make it happen” because “nobody lives as an island in this process, on this planet,” and claimed no single country has enough money to tackle climate change alone.

“And no one country has enough money to deal with the climate crisis,” Kerry insisted.

While Kerry frames this as moral leadership, critics see it as yet another attempt to extract more money from hard-working Americans to fund questionable global projects.

He even claimed that “the economics of climate work favors people who are feeling the pinch of inflation,” a baffling statement given that many climate policies worsen economic strain.

WATCH:

Kerry’s comments are yet another reminder of the left’s misguided priorities: sacrificing American prosperity to appease the climate-industrial complex while demanding the U.S. bankroll the world.
