The radical Left is obsessed with abortion. If it were up to them, there would be no limits on it in every state in America.

And ever since Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, they’ve made abortion a key issue in every election.

This has caused Democrats to take some drastic steps in order to get abortion related issues on the ballot in the form of amendments.

But Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) has recently discovered that these steps are not always legal, specifically regarding an amendment proposal in the Sunshine State.

DeSantis Fights Back Against Radical Abortion Amendment

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently addressed a growing controversy in the state, which in turn led law enforcement to launch an initiative to visit thousands of homes.

These visits aim to confirm whether residents had signed petitions supporting a radical abortion amendment known as Amendment 4, which seeks to be placed on the state ballot.

The amendment has sparked significant concern, with critics labeling it as dangerous and detrimental to women’s health. The state has since mobilized resources to inform voters about what officials believe to be serious risks associated with the proposal.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, DeSantis confirmed that law enforcement is investigating complaints linked to the petition process.

“And turns out they looked, this group submitted, dozens of petitions on behalf of dead people,” DeSantis stated. “They saw those petitions being submitted. There are other, petitions that have actually been validated where the signatures do not match the voter file. So they were getting all of those complaints, and they’re doing what they’re supposed to do. They’re following the law, and they’re ensuring that anyone that broke the law is gonna be held accountable.”

DeSantis emphasized that Florida maintains a strict policy against any form of election-related malpractice. “Our tolerance in the state of Florida for any type of election-related fraud is zero. We are not going to put up with it,” he said.

He went on to clarify that any verified cases of fraud would be referred to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for further investigation and legal action.

“If someone’s committing fraud that undermines your rights. As, law-abiding citizens, we don’t want to go down that road,” DeSantis explained.

Some critics, however, argue that law enforcement’s actions could intimidate voters. They claim that sending police to ask residents if they signed the petition amounts to undue pressure.

Despite this pushback, DeSantis doubled down on the importance of holding those involved in election malpractice accountable, insisting that such accountability is crucial to deterring criminal activities before they escalate. He made it clear that anyone attempting to manipulate the petition process would face consequences.
