Donald Trump isn’t pulling any punches. He’s going for the throat.
And now Trump humiliated protesters with one huge truth bomb.
Trump’s Social Media Post Questions Climate Narratives Amid Severe Winter Weather
President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Friday to comment on an approaching massive winter storm, using the occasion to mock what he termed “environmental insurrectionists” and to question the concept of global warming.
In his post, Trump highlighted the scale of the cold wave, stating, “Record Cold Wave expected to hit 40 States. Rarely seen anything like it before.”
He then added, “Could the Environmental Insurrectionists please explain — WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING???” This remark aligns with Trump’s previous statements on climate issues, including a post from last year where he declared, “I (WE!) just won the War on the Climate Change Hoax.”
Nationwide Impact of the Long-Duration Winter Storm
The storm in question is forecasted to bring heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain across a broad swath of the United States, from the Southern Rockies to New England, lasting through Monday.
More than 170 million Americans are expected to be affected, with potential for widespread travel disruptions, prolonged power outages, and significant tree damage.
The National Weather Service has described this as a rarely seen event, emphasizing the extensive reach and intensity of the cold wave impacting 40 states.
References to Bill Gates and Ongoing Climate Discussions
Trump’s post also referenced a recent essay by Bill Gates, in which the billionaire acknowledged being “completely WRONG” on certain climate predictions. Trump noted, “Bill Gates has finally admitted that he was completely WRONG on the issue. It took courage to do so, and for that we are all grateful.”
In the essay, Gates wrote, “Although climate change will have serious consequences — particularly for people in the poorest countries — it will not lead to humanity’s demise. People will be able to live and thrive in most places on Earth for the foreseeable future.”
This comes amid broader debates, including contrasts with former President Joe Biden’s 2023 State of the Union address, where he described climate change as a “climate crisis” that is “an existential threat.”
Trump has previously argued that such climate policies “will bankrupt our Country, and bring us into the Third World status, which we’re getting closer and closer to anyway.”
