Donald Trump and the media have been at odds for years. But this latest battle is one of the most heated yet.
And MSNBC doesn’t hold back in their latest bombardment of Trump.
Last Wednesday, MSNBC host, Joy Reid of “The Reid Out,” compared former President Trump to Hitler.
She also said he is “viewed as a clown, a goon who could be kept in line.”
“Like Trump, Hitler was also viewed as a clown, a goon who could be kept in line, And then there are the accommodations that the media makes with autocracy,” Reid said.
Reid also said January 6, 2021, which was the day that riots at the Capitol occurred, could be compared to a failed attempt at a coup from Hitler that was known as the Beer Hall Putsch.
“And when he [Hitler] was freed from prison, just over a year after the failed putsch, the Times offered this unfortunate and incorrect assessment, that Hitler had been tamed by prison. The next year, Mein Kampf was published,” she continued.
“So much of this sounds familiar. And believe me, I wish it didn’t. The establishment thinks that they can be controlled and poof, they’re stuck with them.”
“And those who are legitimately afraid of this outcome are being quiet about it.”
This is a typical fear-mongering strategy from the Left.
They want to try and convince voters that Trump is Hitler. Some Leftists try and say that he’s actually worse.
Claire McCaskill, a political analyst for MSNBC said in 2023 that the former president is “more dangerous” than Hitler and Mussolini.
“A lot of people have tried to draw similarities between Mussolini and Hitler and the use of the terminology like ‘vermin’ and the drive that those men had towards autocracy and dictatorship,” McCaskill said.
“The difference, though, I think makes Donald Trump even more dangerous, and that is he has no philosophy he believes in. He is not trying to expand the boundaries of the United States of America.”
The Left pretty much made a living of calling Trump “Hitler” during the 2016 election.
And it backfired on them obviously, as he was able to win the presidency over Hillary Clinton.
Maybe it’ll backfire again on them this time.
The American people are sick of hearing the tired comparison of Trump to the evil German dictator.
It’s not a true comparison at all and has become a completely uncreative insult from the Left.
