Americans are in disbelief after President Biden rushes into hiding

Joe Biden has been a weak leader to say the least. This latest action only further proves that point.

As Americans are in disbelief after President Biden rushes into hiding.

Biden Begins Second Week of Vacation Amid Criticism of Leadership and Health Concerns

President Joe Biden has entered his second consecutive week of vacation, with no public appearances scheduled for the next seven days, raising questions about his role during the final months of his term.

Despite his insistence that he would remain actively engaged in policy and legislation, Biden’s quiet retreat has drawn scrutiny.

At 81, Biden arrived at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware vacation home on Sunday following a six-night stay at the Santa Ynez, California ranch of billionaire Democratic donor Joe Kiani.

Kiani, a prominent supporter, has benefited from at least $3 million in federal contracts since Biden took office.

According to the White House, the president plans to stay at his beach home through Friday, leaving his public schedule largely empty. His absence from public view was particularly notable as former President Donald Trump made an appearance at Arlington National Cemetery.

Trump marked the third anniversary of the Kabul airport suicide bombing, which claimed the lives of nearly 200 people, including 13 American service members, during the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan — a disaster many attribute to Biden’s administration.

So far, the president’s itinerary includes only his relaxation at the beach.

Past trips have seen Biden engaging in leisurely activities like short beach walks with foldable chairs, attending local church services, and going on bike rides or restaurant outings.

Concerns about Biden’s ability to lead have been mounting for months. On July 21, fellow Democrats, worried about his mental sharpness, pressured him to step out of the 2024 presidential race. However, Biden rejected the notion of resignation, maintaining that he was capable of completing his term.

“Over the next six months, I’ll be focused on doing my job as president,” Biden declared in a July 24 Oval Office address. He also reiterated his commitment to lowering costs, growing the economy, and defending civil rights, adding, “I’ll keep calling out hate and extremism and make it clear there is no place in America for political violence.”

Despite this vow, Biden’s recent schedule has been relatively bare. As Vice President Kamala Harris gains increasing attention as the Democratic candidate to face Trump in the 2024 election, Biden’s low-key presence is raising eyebrows.

Last week, Biden left Chicago with his extended family after addressing the Democratic National Convention on its opening night. Party members chanted, “Thank you, Joe!” in an effort to soften the blow of his exit from the campaign after he relinquished the nomination.

Despite these displays of gratitude, Biden’s reluctance to engage in certain aspects of the presidency, such as giving one-on-one interviews or visiting Africa as previously promised, has stirred concerns.

White House observers believe that any such exertion may be too taxing for the president at this stage. Though his physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, asserts that Biden’s physical and mental health remain “excellent,” the same health concerns that led to his withdrawal from the race have fueled bipartisan calls for him to resign.

“If Joe Biden is not fit to run for president, he is not fit to serve as president. He must resign the office immediately,” declared House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) in July after Biden announced he would not seek re-election.

“I doubt the president’s judgment about his health, his fitness to do the job, and whether he is the one making important decisions about our country, rather than unelected advisers,” echoed Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-Wash.). “Americans deserve to feel their president is fit enough to do the job.”

As Biden’s vacation continues, so do the questions about his ability to lead, with increasing pressure mounting from both sides of the aisle.
